    Wilwood Disc upgrade question…

Hey Fury! How'd the Leed conversion go? Any problems with the Leed booster bolting up to the firewall? Any challenges with the rod length? Thanks in advance!

Scored on some factory disc brakes!

Scored a factory set of OEM C- body disc brakes pulled from what was left of a 69 Dodge Polara thanks to Desert Valley Auto in Black Canyon City AZ. I’m going to rebuild these and clean them up for my 68 Plymouth Sport Fury. Includes the spindles, wide mouth Kelsey Hayes single piston calipers...

    68 300 power brakes

You should be able to use the later single diaphragm from a Fusey if you have a console shift. Because it's bigger in diameter, it's a no go on column shift cars because it interferes with the shift linkage. Should be easier to find too. Kevin

Did I Get the Wrong Booster

I have a decent amount of experience with fuselage brakes, and while I've never done exactly what you're doing, I'm 99% sure the '72 booster will bolt right into your '69.

    1965 fury front brake

Yes a long time ago I siwtched for dual MC and power brake. Now just hoping that after changing the rubber hoses it doesn't do it again. So far the pedal raised from when I changed the hoses, I hope it stay that way, I have drove the car 300 miles since I changed hoses, and this week I will...

Help to Identify hose out of firewall

I'm working on a buddies 1968 Imperial and as is with most old cars its a bit of exploration and guess work as not everything is the way the factory did it. There is a rubber hose that exits the firewall by the brake booster and then is just tied up in the harness and not connected to anything...

    8th Annual C Body Show - June 22nd

Well, it's not looking too promising for the Fury. It's not for lack of trying - I busted my butt even with working full-time and it's basically all done as of this weekend: motor and related components installed, driveshaft installed, brakes/hoses all done, checked the parking brake, front hubs...

1962 chrysler Newport front and rear disc breaks

I have the Original 1962 booster and I believe the dual master cylinder I have is a generic gm clone setups. The pedal does almost go the floor but the car stops I just want the break pedal to engage the breaks quickly and without effort

    Booster Compatibility

EDIT: I stumbled on a thread that didn't pop up in my previous searches: FYI B & C Body Bendix disc brake dual diaphragm boosters compared 67 Fury. Currently have the crappy Midland Ross booster and want a Bendix but as you know, originals are rarer than Hens Teeth. Question for the...

Wrong brake booster? Holes dont line up

You are right, the firewall has more holes behind the backing plate, but none of them line up correctly, either. Appreciate the thought, though Yes, good guess, or maybe a previous owner converted the car from front drums to front discs using stock front disc brake hubs/caliper brackets, but...

The brake master and booster don't seem to be original either. Interesting to see which parts have been replaced on such a low-mile car

1972 Polara Still going down the brake rabbit hole, leaking brake booster replacement.

...master cylinder at Rock Auto. While I don't think you need to at this point, if you want to, you can send the booster to Vacuum Brake Boosters | Power Brake Booster Exchange, Lynwood for rebuilding, but I would stay away from the Leeds replacement as that's a GM based unit that you may have...

headers that fit? Or better exhaust manifolds?

Cast iron HP exhaust manifolds might not fit the long ram intakes due to their up-swept design. In 1962 or so, Chrysler had some large-tube steel exhaust manifolds which look like they were the precursor of the cast iron HP manifolds, but they would not clear the power brake booster and such...

    Bendix dual booster ID help

Is that your NOS Bendix booster? I believe you posted about that last year in the thread linked below. A larger picture may help as well. The numbers stamped are probably manufacturing numbers and have little to do with the catalogued part number, and it may be superceded to a later style...

Need advice for improving brake performance on my 1963 300 Pacesetter

Those brakes should be testing the integrity of your seat belts. What brand and type of brake shoes did you install? Sometimes, "brand" can make the difference. Were the drums machined and what is the ID of the drum. I'm presuming, too, that the brakes are correctly adjusted and you did...
