Swapping out a 1971 8¼ rear for a 1969 8¾ rear. Doable or go on the hunt for the correct rear?

Make sure the spring pad center to center is the same and it should bolt in. The next concern will be driveshaft length. If both cars are the same wheelbase and same trans ie 904 or 727, the shaft from the 69 should work. I'm assuming the length is different 8.25 diff vs 8.75. Kevin

68’ 300 OEM disc swap question

Rockauto shows a Part# for a 73 Newport brake booster, but not for a 73 Imperial. That may or may not mean something. Pull your Imperial one and see what if anything is different. Kevin

68’ 300 OEM disc swap question

If your 300 is console shift, the booster should/may work, if it will bolt into the space. I'm assuming it's the same booster that would be on any 73 Cbody and not bigger in diameter because it's on an Imperial, even tho they were a unibody Cbody after 1966. The bigger single diaphragm disc...

Front wheel spindles interchangable (left-right) ?

Budd disc brake spindles have their own lower ball joint. Drum 65 and up, and 69-73 single piston disc spindles use the same lower ball joint. Kevin

Saw this one at an auction in Lethbridge AB 2 years ago. 62 Windsor. Original owner sale. Him and his wife went to Windsor Ont on their honeymoon to pick it up. A 17 year old farm kid paid $17.5K of his hard earned money for it. Kevin

New guy recently purchased a 66 Newport 2 Door hardtop, looking for a few good parts sources.

Murray Park in Ohio is probably the biggest and best source for used Cbody stuff. Vans Auto should have a new washer tank, but if you are more concerned with driving it than making stuff that doesn't advance that goal look "right" there is acres of space on the rad support to bolt a suitable...

    Headers for 360la

The Heddman big block shorties for a B&Ebody fit like they were made for a C, but I don't know about the small block version, if there is one. Search for 67 and up Fury or Polara applications for an LA Cbody header. Some Bbody big block headers could be convinced to fit with some tweaking...

How to adjust caster (if indeed you can with stock parts?)

The usual procedure is to jack in as much caster as it will give you, set the camber, and hope you have some positive caster left when you're done. If you need more caster, the offset upper control arm bushings are the solution, but IIRC you install them clocked differently, as their intended...

Holley Sniper II or 4BBL Carb Upgrade?

If not looking original under the hood isn't a deal breaker, they make a self contained small tank with a high pressure pump in it to run the EFI with and the stock engine pump transfers fuel from the tank, into it. Saves a lot of plumbing challenges. Kevin

This eats me up inside right now

Simple solution. Have them shipped to Sumas Washington, and bring them across yourself. With the exchange, you'll have about $1400ish in them plus whatever the GST/HST is at the border. The very first stop after that should be a competent machine shop to have them checked and corrected...
