After Albuquerque, we went to Flagstaff, Kingman, Oatman, and Havasu City. This morning was Newberry Springs and Barstow and then back up to Northern California. After completing 2,481 carefree miles, I now have a new appreciation for the old Chrysler. We're looking forward to many more...

Excellent! They seem to be well balanced as we have exceeded 80 mph on a couple occasions, and I haven't experienced any vibration. We did hit some heavy rainstorms along the way, and the old Chrysler felt solid with good traction. And yes... the ride is nice and smooth.

Made to Albuquerque today! So far so good (Knock on wood :) The New Yorker is driving like a dream... smooth and comfortable. Tomorrow we are heading to a corner in Winslow Arizona. I heard there is a girl in a flatbed ford there that is quite a site to see!! Then on to Flagstaff...

We flew into Saint Louis on Thursday and the New Yorker was waiting for us. After visiting with friends for two days, we hit the road yesterday (Sunday). The Chrysler drove like a dream and glided from Saint Louis to Joplin. Great sites and fun times so far. High point was Uranus Mo, but...

Well.... It's been a year in the planning and many things have changed. Originally my wife and I were going to drive the New Yorker to Chicago and then follow as much of the historic route 66 back to California. That was before we knew that we had a new granddaughter showing up the same week...

I'll look into that.. I have a 1968 early bronco that has an upgraded blower from another vehicle. It was close to a direct fit and really boosted the air flow. It would be nice if something like that is available for my New Yorker.

I agree... Last summer when my compressor was working good, the AC was blowing ice cold but the fan speed seemed a bit lackluster. It would be great if there was a way to get a more powerful fan.

Update: After poking around online today, I came up with a couple of options...

My local car buddies are swaying me towards keeping it stock. One of them is a HVAC guy and has a stock of R12. I really like the stock look, but also want to be comfortable in the summer.
