Spark plug questions and spark wires.

Oh i know all about RFI noise. WE both are ham radio operators here. Last car had a nice set up for the HF rig mobile. Best I did with a whip was Ukraine on 10 meter FM running about 5 watts. About 15 years ago.

    Are all floors the same?

What you WILL need is to consider the wheelbase. Chrysler non-wagons were the same. Dodges were 122 for non-wagons. Plymouths were 119 or 120" for non-wagons. All C-body wagons were 122" wheelbase, as were the C-body Dodges in those model years. Imperial Fuselage Cars were 127, but with the...

Spark plug questions and spark wires.

Not really, he is 74 and just did not want to do points anymore. I am in my mid 60's And I do not blame hid. He also put in a dual/split brake system in. I approve of that and he still had the mono master cylinder. I do want to know were the Carter is-hate the Holley on it now. Carter 3858? And...

Spark plug questions and spark wires.

The OTHER reason that resistor plugs and plug wires are used is to reduce FM radio static on police radios used back then. Well before automotive FM tuners were in use or thought about. One poster has mentioned using Packard stranded wire plug wires with a Rajah resistor end on them. In...

    Are all floors the same?

I'm not worried about originality either. I'm just looking for the easiest way to get the floor to where I don't have to warn people about where to put their feet. But looking for a just a donor car will be a lot easier if I can include sedans and wagons.

    Are all floors the same?

Looks like a great project, welcome to the forum. I'm using the pans from a '73 New Yorker 2-door to fix a 1970 Chrysler 300. Other than an odd bead roll here and there, the dimensions are the same from '69-'73, 2 or 4 door, the trunk pan will work too.

Spark plug questions and spark wires.

Unless someone wants to correct this, I think that looking at the advertising and design goals, magazine write-ups and what-have-you for modern plug wires is completely useless for our cars, cars with points and original coils, or even cars with retro-fitted or original electronic ignition...

    EFI Manifolds

I put a Sniper on a 1970 383 Challenger 2 years ago. I had to send it back 3 different times before I could even get the car to run. All kind of issues with the injectors in the throttle body. It did not like the camshaft that was in the car. The manifold vacuum at idle was lower than what it...

    Are all floors the same?

If it was my car, I would want to replace the floor pans too. It looks like a nice car. The floors actually are not as bad as a lot of converts I've seen. It is too bad that no one makes better repair panels. My 57 has good floor pans but over the years I've had several that did not. The panels...

Spark plug questions and spark wires.

AC Delco are the worst plugs ever, IMO. I was always a Mopar guy, use NOS Champions. Back in my younger days, one of my friends had a 68 SS 396 Camaro. One spting-he had let the Camaro sit for two years. He had other cars to drive. He called me to come over to help him get it started, he had...

    Are all floors the same?

I blame myself. I should have known not to buy anything until I did the disassembly. Bought the C2C panels just from looking at the floors from under the car. When removing the interior I cranked on the seatbelt anchor bolt for the driver's side and the whole anchor crumbled and came out...

    Are all floors the same?

From what I understand, the floors are pretty much the same. The rear floor has allowance for when it's used in a 2 door. Looks like you fell into the C2C trap. Sorry.... The rear pans look like they are reversed and on the wrong sides if that helps you at all.

Quartz conversion for Clock -- 71 New Yorker

CBDY67-- I've done that many times on many cars. Thanks for the advice-- I'm sure someone will benefit from it. This one is such a nightmare to get to the clock, I don't want to have to do it again---too big a chance of messing something up or breaking something. --Yogi

I ordered the new one that John listed. I think the larger buttons won’t fit in the ashtray. Thanks for the help!

    Are all floors the same?

Hello, I'm needing to replace the whole floor pan on my 69 Newport convertible. So, of course, that means I'm looking for a donor car because no one sells a new pan. I've been told by one guy that I don't need to narrow my search to just 2-door cars. He says that I can use a floor pan...

    68 Fury Cigarette lighter

Maybe it was original. I found this on a quick google search. Says for 64 Imperial, but looks like mine. It seems Ford used CUMO as well.
