65 New Yorker, first project car

I recall when I got my 65 NYer 3 years ago, the cooling system was somewhat clogged up and rusty. I recall I had a weeping freeze plug, so I put the car on the lift and banged out the bad freeze plug by hammering a screwdriver into the plug and prying it out. I remember there was another...

Dual belt alternator pulley set up

That would be the only time the dual alternator pulley was used, IIRC.

65 New Yorker, first project car

The OTHER situation is also doing a complete block cooling passage purge with the plugs removed. Gets all of the accumulated "residue" out of the block for better coolant flow and heat removal. While it can be best to do all of them, the only ones we replaced were the ones actually seeping...

WANTED 1964 300 car autopilot parts pkics needed

There's a starting point for sure - but as you say - different dash switch, plus... ...different servo, different underhood brackets, different gas pedal and pivot, different trans to servo speedo cable etc. etc.

    Factory or Not?

There was nothing on the car, rotor or drum-wise that involved that hole. I cant remember if it was involved with the jack storage or something similar....maybe i can find the storage instructions. The car had full wheel covers but not a heavy style, so they weren't involved with that locator...

New project: Allen Engine analyzers, restoration?

Also on the diagnostic machine I started checking pin connections from the engine harness back to the analyzer. I found when I stuck my amp meter probe in, one of the plug sockets would back out. I also found that one of the other sockets had a loose wire. Waiting for some new sockets and plug...

New project: Allen Engine analyzers, restoration?

Maybe making some progress, maybe on my exhaust analyzer. Initially when I fired it up last year, I had heat to the infrared source, but then at about the same time I found I had re-installed my old seized vacuum pump. I remember as I shut it off to change the vacuum pump I heard a “POP”. I...

1967 Chrysler 300 Convertible Top Question

I have a ‘68 300 and it doesn’t do that. Mine was also replaced in the late 90s. I wonder if yours is rolling back on itself a little when the town is lowered? FWIW, I am pretty sure I bough the top and back window through Year One at that time.

    Factory or Not?

I have 5 of these wheels and it's the only one that has the hole

    Factory or Not?

Would that be correct for a 71? This wheel was from a 71 New Yorker.

1967 Chrysler 300 Convertible Top Question

Why does the convertible top bow at the top of the back glass? How do I get it to lay flat? Top was replaced around 1990 but the back glass and vinyl around it is original.

WANTED 66 Fury Radio delete dash panel and quarter window guide needed

I assume 65 window parts would be the same. I can look tomorrow. The dimensions are very helpful. Someone is making the rollers now. It was on an old post FCBO. But let me look for what I have. I have a 65 radio bezel like what you are looking for, but they are different than 66. 66 is...

    318 4-barrel from the factory?

You may be able to pick up a mile/gallon or two with some advance curve and careful tuning but 18-20 is all you will get out of most 318 combinations. In my Swinger, I went from a 2.76 rear gear to a 3.23 and lost mileage but gained it back with some 15" 255-60 tires.
