The final bill (for the paint): OK so if all of us on this forum sent you 5 dollars each would it take 10 football (soccer to us here) stadiums of us to pay off the bill?

Six figures doing a lot of the work yourself? :wtf: Guess you won't be selling it when it's finished.
 
I had one of those type of projects. Now I am driving it as much as I can to depreciate it down.
In the process I got an education. Looking at my kids college bills my education cost were about the same, but I have a new old car to drive which is much more fun.

You will enjoy when its finished.

Are the contacts on the switch plate normally closed or open? I repaired all the wiring in mine but I have only one speed and no park. The contact arm was bent. I straightened it but don't know if it should be closed or open before putting it back together again
