Photos of Vintage Auto Dealerships, Repair Shops, and Gas Stations

Hey "67Newport", Was there any indication with this photo that you posted of where this tire shop was located? I'm just wondering if I may have a family-connection to it in some way (Lehman family name). Thanks!

    Remember when?

Records, cassettes, 8-tracks and eventually CDs. I believe that there were reel to reel tapes available when I first saw the magazine ads.

You are correct Gary. I looked at it in person 3 years ago because I have one of it's sisters, also ex SD Highway Patrol. Mine is optioned almost exactly the same. It is worth saving but a big project.

What are you working on today??

I am replacing the wiper linkage bushings on my 1979 Newport. R-bodies, such as my Newport, have hidden wipers with the linkage in the cowl like E-bodies, 1971-later B-bodies, C-bodies, etc. One bushing had broken, but the others were not far behind. All were replaced with Chrysler 3799089...

2500 and 1500 valuations from some fakebook experts. I actually agree with 1500 since there is no title. Wish it was as simple as the comments. Eli Makings Author Can use bill of sale to then get title as per local KHP officer since these are considered antiques. Eli Makings Author I have...

You always take great photos of your cars. I think Chrysler hit the nail on the head with the 68 design. But I like all 300 convertibles from any year.

I bought some BFG Advantage TA (whitewall versions of the Radial TA, 6-ply fabric belted radial) in 1981 in P245/70x14 size. Put them on 14x6.5" (stamped) '65 T&C wheels. A bit tight getting them past the rear brake drums, but fine after that. Fender skirts work, too. CBODY67

What are you working on today??

I got my Colorado back together after the deer hit Lf fender, hood, grill, lights and, bumper are all used. Not perfect, but good enough. Radiator, condenser, A/C line, and core support brace are new. The rest of the truck is far from perfect so the used stuff will fit right in. I...

    Which engine is this?

As the '71 model year production wrapped up about the middle of July 1971, it's more likely the assembly was in August of 1970 at the beginning of the 1971 model year. The VIN will give us direction,
