From what I've seen over the years if was truly a "Special Order" there would be another tag on the rad support. My '79 300's vin begins with "SS" so it must be Super Special! I believe that the second letter in most of our vin numbers indicates trim or pricing level. My '67 LeBaron for example...

Just a thought, Javier, how do you know that there isn't something wrong with the gauge or sender? Maybe your deliverability issues with the lean burn may also be affected by a bad temp sensor. Does the car vomit/spitup coolant after a hard drive? Do you hear it boiling over like an old...

Stan had a similar problem if I recall, it was fixed by the lower shroud, the one that goes below the radiator. It mounts under the radiator, it's black plastic and has some air foils on it. Make sure someone hasn't taken it off over the years. Of course he blamed it on the thermostat. Lol

Once you do get it running, I believe Lean burn runs on full manifold vacuum, so you can't use that same vacuum line to feed the vacuum advance on the distributor. You'll need to find ported vacuum from somewhere. Agreed!
