I know you said the pump pictured is from a later model, but so we are on the same page with no confusion, that pump pictured is a Saginaw pump and not something that would be on a stock '68 300.
So when I bought the car 1000 miles ago back in 2021, it was fine. Now in 2024 it has no power going over lips. If it’s a part on the external end like on those Gm th400s I would like to know what could be causing this problem. Don’t wanna replace it.
White paint or vinyl?
From the factory your 66 was paint code Q on top and body. Red metalllic, one color.
The next space after. QQ1 is for strioe pr accent color
Second space after is for upper door frame paint color
What is under the capital Y, that is the second line down? That is the vinyl...
The top red band says notice.
It is a rebuilder decal, not from Chrysler.
It could be telling you that using ATF in power steering will void your warranty.
Use regular power steering fluid, not synthetic or the stuff to stop leaks.

I have searched and thought I had seen a digit after paint color to indicate a roof color or vinyl?? My fender tag just has QQ1, nothing to follow. Anyone know what the code was in 66 for a white top. Mine is now white, just fishing. thanks
