    Sure-Grip lube

What does the additive actually do? I just bought some limited-slip gear lube from NAPA that says it's ready to use right out of the bottle--no additive needed. Can this also be used in a non-Sure-Grip diff?

What to use in a 1968 4-spd transmission

I have a service manual for a 1968 Chrysler and it says to use the Dexron ATF in the 3-spd manual transmission. I have a 4-spd manual in my '68 300 (not original to the car). I want to top it off, but I don't know what's already in it. If it's filled with ATF would topping it off with 85w90...

Oh crap, I just changed my oil with a low-zinc oil, what should I do?

I bought some Chevron Delo 400 oil on sale. It's for diesels so I thought it would be great for my 1968 Chrysler 300 with a 440 TNT. Now I see that it's a low zinc oil. I'm panicking. I haven't even driven the car on the road yet, just moved it from one garage to another across my yard, but...

    Torqueflite oil pan gasket

I bought the OEM gasket for 90's Jeeps or trucks or whatever that someone here recommended as a superior alternative to the cork gaskets. I thought I heard somewhere that since it's slightly thicker you need to use pan bolts that are slightly longer. Is this true and how important is this? Thanks!

    Metal fuel lines

I've been thinking about the possibility of an engine fire due to using rubber fuel line between the fuel pump and carb, but I don't have the original carb on the engine and I don't have any way of making a custom metal fuel line. Can these be bought? I have a Street Demon carb and it's on a...

A question about automatic transmission fluid

In my '68 Chrysler I've been using the so-called "universal" "multi-use" transmission fluid, which I believe is basically equivalent to the Dexron III we used to use back in the day. I've been told that the latest spec Mopar fluid (ATF +4, I think) isn't backwards compatible and shouldn't be...

1968 Chrysler 300 transmission oil leak

The pan gasket was just replaced, but it's still leaking. It looks like it's leaking from the pan gasket but it's hard to tell. I think it's a Fel-Pro gasket. Can these pans get bent or is there a better gasket to use? Any other common places these transmissions can leak? Thanks!

    Vibration!!

My '68 300 has some vibration in the drive line. It does it when you are on the throttle or off the throttle, but at steady speed it seems to go away. I've already posted a thread on this forum about it and received a lot of advice. I'm leaning towards it being a problem with the differential...
