I found my passenger side front seat belt retractor has been over wound kinking the spring.
Not looking to pay $50 for an NOS on e-bay. If anyone has a spare laying around I would be interested. It looks like the same retractor was used in most all Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth models between 1965 and 1968. 2520555.
Condition of the outer part of the retractor isn’t critical as long as the spring is intact and not kinked. I will also be looking at Mopar’s in the park (Stillwater) in a couple of weeks, or If someone has one and attending the show I could pick it up there as well.
Thanks

Thanks Mike, are you coming to Mopar’s in the park this year?

You are correct, technically it is a winder as it doesn’t retract as much as wind.
It seems the parts writers didn’t quite get the name right in the parts book as they refer to it as a retractor from 65 -68.

Nope, can't do it. Son's in Fargo and he's up fairly often, may pass it off and you guys can meet up at a cruise nite.

Thanks Mike,
That would work, no big hurry. It kind of winds for now with my attempted repair and the passenger seat doesn’t see a lot of use.
