1960 tf3speed fluid

I was wondering what tranny fluid people were using in their early TF these days since the old stuff is no longer here.

I think I used to use DXIII in my old 1960. It's been many years since I had the car though so don't quote me.

Some of the posts I have seen on the 300 club list serve seem to recommend Type F used in older Fords. I see it available still at numerous outlets like Autozone, Walmart, etc.

In my Imperials, I use what ever the current brand of Dextron III the parts store has. It all tastes the same to me.

I've used Dextron III in my other classic's but found that Type F worked a lot better with the torque convertor. It shifted the same but better response on acceleration.

Type F has right friction modifiers for old band and hydualic style transmission.
