1964 Chrysler 300K "Letter Car"

i can tell you all that since I've had mine, i usually look to see where the markets is heading. they come up from time to time,
but not very often. i bought mine to enjoy. it's not a museum piece (but could easily be restored to that quality)

my own opinion, but these cars were made to drive. and that i do. every Wednesday, in the town next to me, there is a cruise night at a local
ice cream place. and every Wednesday, you'll see my wife, kids and myself there. talking to great car people, enjoying good music, food,
and great cars of all colors, makes, models, etc.

Sounds like Utopia, Mass, at least on Wednesday nights...

Do Two sarcastic comments back to back cancel each other out?

a little update......

guy that wanted to buy my '64 New Yorker gave me a tip on another Mopar guy local to me.
seems he remembers a set of Rams hanging on this guys garage wall for the last 15 yrs or so.

I called and went by to check. sure enough, a set of long rams, one with an Edelbrock carb attached.
said he's had them more than 20 yrs. he's restoring a '64 Plymouth Sport Fury rag-top, and wanted to put the rams on that!

no pics, but from what I could see under the cover, a nice looking ride....

he's contemplating selling the rams, and he knows what they're worth! LOL

Most people know what they are worth.......... a photo of those dusty things hanging there would have been thoughtful

I thought of the photo on the way home! was still kinda mesmerized by all the Mopar everywhere! 4-speeds, 440's
Hemi's, rams intakes, etc......it was like a dirty, dusty Mopar museum....LOL

You should always know that we will want pics!

Sounds like heaven .. was Buddy Holley there?

true, I shouldaknownbetta!

will take nice pics next time I'm there. on a separate note (and not necessarily "C" body)
I'm going to sell the 1949 Chrysler Windsor Highlander that I have, so if anyone knows a potential
owner, please PM me. thanks!

Pictures or it doesn't exist!

Ken:

Welcome to the C-Body site. Your 'K' is very impressive - especially it being a Ram-K. As has been stated by Barney, you should really take a look at the 300 Club, International and the June meet in Mystic, CT. The 'K' is the featured car for this meet, so there will surely be several Ks in attendance. The Club is also a great resource for restoration and parts information. There is also another 300 Club. Here are web site links for both:

Welcome to the board ........................ all due respect. both of you suck....respectfully.........

Now we have two of these beauties on the board....... they're killing me

Hey Ken your car is awesome i love it, I had a set of long ram manifolds back in Australia and a 426 wedge motor to put them on, the idea was to put it all into my 1960 dodge Dart coupe, these cars originally came with a D500 option, 361 with long rams, i was so looking forward to seeing this lightweight car get up and go when I finished it but my long rams got stolen, so that put that project out of commission. Reading about how lively your car was on the highway just has me wondering though what the Dart would have done? Anyway i am looking forward to seeing what you get up to with this car. P.S. Don't mod the engine with anything aftermarket! If you do anytime you blow someone into the weeds it will be because "Hey is a modified car" But do it in standard form, oh yeah, they can only tuck their tails between their legs ;)

wollfen,

I have SERIOUSLY resisted the urge to update the car with modern amenities such as the Pertronix Ignition system, maybe TTI headers? 4-wheel disc brakes, etc.....BUT, I have not done anything. The car still has the original, working 5-button AM radio with power antenna.
(and besides, why do you need a radio when you have that Wedge making all the music you need to hear LOL)
because the car was ordered with the 2x4 motor, is also came with the heavy-duty suspension, larger torsion bars, larger brakes, etc.
believe it or not, the 4-wheel drums stop the car rather well, but only one or two times in a short span. perhaps too much heat fade?
she's due a full and complete tune-up service this year. so i'll go right thru her. belts, hoses, plugs, wires, points, everything.
I need to get a hold of a real good carb rebuild kit, actually, TWO kits. Carter 3505S. I heard that Carbs Unlimited? was a good source. anyone know for sure or can verify? I just need the kits, I do the rebuild myself.
