I have some one with deep pockets that has asked me about the car.
Could you kindly post up some pictures as requested?
While i understand people's emotional attachment to automobiles we need to set that aside for the moment and work on the details of the car. Put your cards on the table.

The white books are pretty accurate. While i am no fan of GG, I know he spent an overabundance of time working with Chrysler historical gathering all that information. Did any of you do that?

Oh and by the way ummmm there is a cop car in the latest MCG...and you all claim mcg hates Sea Bodies....OK, carry on.

Rob et.al. have been playing "catch-up" for awhile now, regarding the popularity of C-bodies. MCG, has always poo-pooed C-bodies, as "barges" and "donor cars" for A,B & E bodies. Now that readers taste have changed, and Rob's not getting any younger, his tastes have changed as well.

In fact, Mr. Wolf (MCG) was visiting a friends MoPar shop last month where I have a few C-bodies. He took photos of some of my C's and we talked about featuring some full size MoPars in the future. The market has evolved, so must MCG, which is a good thing for everyone, even if they are late to the party.

I suggested the seller of this rare and desirable 426, 4-spd C-body reach out to Mr. Wolf for a spot in the "Rare Finds"/Construction section. Rob may feature it. If you want his # send me a PM.

I will respectfully disagree with the term "catch" up because I have known Rob since the magazine first started. We have had too many discussions over the years about the sea body thing. It's not so simple and i will leave it at that. I can't even get him to run my pictures of Elwood's personal Bluesmobile.

What does "It's not so simple and i will leave it at that" mean"? This is a hobby, not the CIA.

Rob Wolfe is a POS who has had zero respect for C bodys . Just like GG he mostly had interest in the high profile stuff. The things that could get him to bump elbows at the Playboy mansion.

Rob likes the high profile cars, a Hurst 300 prototype, the 71 Polara "HP2" car, things like that.aube if I stick a monster engine in my car, with a big scoop on the hood, in a sinister paint scheme (I will not customize the interior, so that won't help me) and big fat tires out back, with a cute license plate on the bumper, he might cast it a second glance. But if I tell him the zany story behind the extraction from a junkie's possession while a seal juggles in the background and something involving out running three counties worth of sheriff deputies, he might listen for 30 seconds longer.

They have close to the same number of L700's shown throughout the years as they have shown C bodies. I have the next 6 days to go through back issues if anyone needs a count.

Rob might be a great person, Im neutral on his business personality. I always buy from the gals.

Well lets see what he does. I canceled my subscription years ago because they always had the same cars. At least Mopar Action does a few "C" bodies a year.

Like I said, high profile cars

1965 DODGE MONACO:

426 CID "wedge", w/manual 4-speed transmission: 150 units produced.

An automotive historian with records, information and contacts. His name isn't Galen.

FWI:there are other 65 426 4-speed Monacos out there.

Would you be able to post more production numbers for 4 Speed C-Bodies? Or even a year breakdown of most to least common?

You guys can do it yourselves. Just get the "Option Accessories Reports" for the year required and take the percentages from number of units produced and % of options built and you get your new number, at least to a certain production date, usually August.

That's partly how Galen does/did it. His numbers are close, but not always accurate.

I'm done here, as this thread is about a very cool 65 Monaco 426 4-spd, and not about Galen Govier or Rob Wolf's apologist.
