Main caps? Assuming it Doesn’t turn?

It is going to be stuck very tight the main caps are usually machined to match the block.

I’ve got a couple of sets of main caps if someone on the board buys this. It’ll need to be align honed anyway.

I wonder what the HP block got you in '66?

As far as I know, the Chrysler TNT in '66 was strictly dual snorkel and dual exhaust. Same compression ratio, same cam and same valves as the standard engine. I don't know if they even bothered to step up the jets in the carb.

Going to have to take a look at the 1966 parts book when I get a chance.

The library at Hamtramck historical is a perfect reference for questions just like yours. The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1966 Chrysler Dealership Data Book - Engineering

That only answers half of @bigmoparjeff 's questions. The Factory Service Manual has the specs. I can say with certainty that the '66 440 TNT has the same cam as the regular 440, because I remember seeing that in the FSM. Also AFAIK all 1966 big blocks used 516-casting heads with 1.60" intake valves.

And how much are you looking to get for,,, this....??
He's starting at $1200, taking offers after a bit. Your paying for the b440 hp stamp. Had to come to this board of course to figure out what it is

Probably nothing crazy, just marketing

I'm pretty sure standard 440 was 350 horse. Twin snorkel and exhaust turned it into 365 horse. Both used same compression, cam and carb

B = 1966
440 = cubic inches
Maltese Cross & an X .010" undersized crankshaft rod journals

Not to be mean, but he'll be sitting on that for a long time.

It may be hard to find someone looking to pony up $200 for it, let alone $1200.

The HP doesn't add any significant value on a '66 block. The 440 wasn't available in any muscle cars in '66, and those are the guys who will pay extra for what's stamped on an engine.

69CoronetRT's post shows that the '66 TNT was mostly marketing hype. Both versions of the 440 were basically the same engine in '66 except for maybe these mysterious heavy duty connecting rod bearings.
