1966 Newport power steering pump snub stopper replacement

The members who commented in here do not own the companies you bought from. Have you contacted the vendors themselves?

Just curious,

"I did 2 cars and speaking from experience both had to get a different belt.
I can look it up and provide the proper belt number."

Can you elaborate? was the belt too small? or big? and why?

Trying to get help from this forum....I got all these products from you guys but there's no installation instructions from the company and now finding out now I need a new belt, but got no idea why or where to buy that.

+unrelated questions that don't help me get this job done.

Might as well just bought stock replacement mount or rubber snub at this point.
Too big.
Had to get a smaller belt.
Cars in storage but will grab the belt number tomorrow.
Installing the bracket is straight forward.
Not complicated at all.
I remove the pump and bracket from the engine as an assembly.
Replace bracket and back onto the engine.

:realcrazy:arent forums for getting help?

i'm asking you all since you were the ones who recommended it

the instructions i got so far:
"take off the old one, put the new one on"
jesus christ ..

for get it at this point ill figure it out

I no longer have the printed instructions but
hope these pics helps.
The square hole in the bracket is for a ratchet or breaker bar to tighten the belt.
Bolts that go through the water pump housing are wet bolts so make sure you use thread sealant or silicone to prevent any leaks.

Here is the belt..
15411 use this number at any parts jobber for cross reference.
Personally I use Continental belts which are actually Goodyear Gatorback belts.
They fit deeper into the groove and never had any issues with them.
Hope this helps..

Interesting - I was one of the first to respond with help - and after giving you the links on where to purchase the item (which you've had challenges figuring out how to install, just like all of us have had as well), giving you other helpful information, and suffering through your impatience and entitlement B.S., I have to be called names for my and everyone else's good will? And to put up with bad grammar, spelling and punctuation to boot - Holy Fek!

Your rudeness and "me first" attitudes are what makes us shake our heads.

Use your brain, figure it out. That's what I did.

Use your manners - it goes a long way in this world. What's sad is that after being insulted by you for our helpfulness, we'll probably still help you again if you were to ask for it... because it's worth it to be nice to people

Good luck to you.
