1969 CHP Polara Wagon

To me profiling takes more than one marker, "If it walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck it must be a Duck"

Otherwise it may be just racist.

Your being racist by suggesting it may be racist. It could be just someone with long hair and you assume he's doing drugs. A souped up car doesnt always have to be driven by someone breaking the law........ It is not all about race.

As I said more than one marker simply having long hair is only one marker.

Believe me I more than know what it is like to be singled out driving an old beater car (never have a problem with my nice restored car).

White boy in South Central Los Angeles, I must be there for the wrong reason, I'm still not sure the officer believed me when I said I was showing my wife where I grew up.
Lets just say Ken & Barbie have no business in that neighborhood.

So one marker, one is being racist, prejudice or just stupid.
Start stacking them up we start getting closer to the truth.

Your profiling comment was in reference to Stan's comment about broad comments, which is something that irritates the living daylight out of me.

To me profiling is taking a collection (multiple) of perimeters and forming an opinion. It will always be a judgment call, some people are simply better at it than others.
Hate to say it but we are all guilty of it is some way or another, stereotypes are what they are. But careful where you are pointing a racist implication as I am about as far from it as they come. Even in the short time I have been here one can probably tell that I am one of the most diplomatic people out there as we have no idea who may be reading these forums and 'd like to think I paint a pretty good picture of the person that I am. I think I have said enough.

I don't believe it was possible to package the 375hp 440 into the wagon body shell. I vaguely recall it had something to do with the exhaust system.

Only difference between the standard 440 that was available...350HP, and the 375 HP version would be the cam, carb and dual exhaust. The 350 HP version still got the HP manifolds, but was usually a single exhaust system, unless specifically ordered by the buyer.

Those pics of the CHP Polara wagon are sweet...thanks for sharing them with us!!

This car had dual exhaust, that may have been at the request of the CHP

I have a 1969 Plymouth Emergency wagon 383 HP 4bbl, dual exhaust, HD everything! Kinda cool, but not as cool as the one pictured (CHP).
