1969 Monacos are only available as convertibles if sold new to Canada.

Not sure what this means, you could get hardtop monacos up here. I had one.

Monaco convertibles were not available in the U.S. market, only the full roof Monaco models were. In the U.S. the equivalent or top convertible model would have to have been the Polara 500 convertible instead for the 1969 model year.
