That's still a pretty cool car but the bumble bee just does not look right with the 500 trim. If it wasn't a 500 the R/T stripe would look good but the bee is just no right for this car.

Like someone said though I suppose it would be easy enough to remove and the V8 emblem.

Thanks Jason. Ya know IF I was ever going to modify that particular car (I saw he said he did) I would at least have done something the factory might have done like put 500 badges there. Like BB did with his prior year Sport Fury emblems maybe.

Speaking of that .. did they put some badge on the interior of the 500's in that year .. anyone? Dave?

That is a 500 so what you see under the R/T emblem is it

The V8 emblem looks too PepBoy-ish.

Definately

If someone want's a stripe on a 69 Polara, a custom one that said "Polara" and "500" where the GT and Sport are would be better but would still clash with the 500 trim which is better anyway IMHO

I seem to remember one or two being done but as you suggested, only to be slammed here by the C body faithful.

I personally am not fond of the custom touches because it is or was an all original car...

I agree Dave. I was just saying if someone WANT's to do something like that ...

I'd remove it if I were a buyer.

I couldn't find a picture of the interior door badge. What do they look like and were they positioned there?

Yes, that is where they are positioned ...

The last door is of a wagon. I dont have anything close up BUT I really thought they said 500 on that emblem, below Polara.... but its a 69 so Im not as certain as on a 70/1

I have some Monaco door photos but not the Polara ones.....not up close anyway.... Nothing up close Peter?

Ditch the damn stripe, and it would be pretty sweet. I can't understand why people put graphics from other cars on a car in the first place...it's like a chimpanzee humping a bunny...it just ain't right!

Those are the exact door panels and seat design and patterns that are in the 69 Sport Fury with the exception of the Monaco emblem :eek:ccasion14:

I really like it. Ditch the stripe and it would be a nice car. Makes me want to get mine going but too many projects in front of it. Everytime I see a 69 polara vert I see a coronet on a little bit of steroids. I don't know what it is but I kind of like them as more of a muscle car vert versus the 70's that look more refined. I know I will draw a little fire for that. (sorry Dave!)

I've always thought Dave was refined considering he comes from NJ LOL.

I see what you see in all Polaras not just the 69... but you being from the mid west and all, you know :poke:

I know I know. Not that I don't like the 70's :eusa_whistle:. Just every time I see a done 69 I can't help myself and want to start my blue one. Here is my motto on as long as it has a 440 and is a 69-70 vert I will LIKE it! But one project at a time and btw I got the engine and trans out of the white one and the top is next to come off. It has just been too cold to do much.
