Sometimes, it don't even matter, if you weren't there when the thing came apart.. in my quest to find out why my PS turn signal don't work, I took apart the tilt/tele column on my 69 Imperial to inspect the "turn switch", and the lock ring that holds the thick spring in place, seems to need a (very) special tool, to get back in place.. even the shop manual, shows a different assembly, than whats on my Imp. When I decided to re-assemble, it took me at least 30 min to figure out which screws and whatnot's went where, and when I finally did, it was painfully obvious that my fingers were not strong enough to hold down the spring, and slide the lock ring into place..! Seems like I now gotta "call a friend" !If you weren't the guy taking it apart, putting itback together becomes 10x harder.
