That's gonna take at least another not too rusty car to part out I guess.

Yes, agreed Sir. And there's more than that......! Have 2 cars that I am willing to sacrifice, '69 Sedan and '71 Hardtop (both 4-doors. '71 has excellent quarters and pretty good around that curved rear window).

It also needs a dash (air-con type), can anyone help?:

good luck with the project.
A rare car that needs saving by a real enthusiast

I would be inclined to find nay fury dash for this model and then mod it if you cant find the aircon style dash. For some reason Plymouth fury fuselage cars are thin on the ground.

Do you have a decent dash in one of the parts cars? and then just cut in the plastic A/C vents? I would suspect the plumbing behind the dash is still intact.

Big project.......

Let's help him push this through then.
Several guys here have amazed us with a little encouragement from the peanut gallery.

that would be a real nice thing to do for a member..he (and friends) might need to bounce stuff off folks who have taken one on like this. its a challenging one for sure now that we've seen the pics ... not the biggest job ever but a "couple days" of work.

I am sure we at least wish him the best if he gets into this one.

I have a very nice 71 A/C dash, with all gauges and wiring in my garage. I don't want to let it go BUT I can be persuaded so, lets talk if you get that far.

AND I hope you do!!

I'll help you out. It is a very rusty project. Your tetanus shot needs to be up to date :). It is also a very rare car. Your not risking much, if you look at it this way. Buy it & then decide if you want to fix it. Take your time then. Don't pull the trigger now, and someone else will. Soon. You will likely never find another real Fury Coupe with a police pkg.

I would look at this car and see what the whole package looks like. From the pics I would expect a good amount of rust in the front windshield corners if not along the whole windshield (somewhat common on front corners and rear window). It appears to have some rust on top of the passanger side rear quarter (somewhat unusual). This tells me it sat outside alot. Now look underneath, is it the same as the top half or worse. If underneath the hood is complete then only add for drivetrain rebuild. I suspect because of the brown color it was County Sheriff car. Not a deal breaker unless you are set on a particular agency. If it does not look worse than described above then I would try to purchase it as close to $1000 as possible. It would not be hard to spend $15k on the restoration. If its worse condition or you abilities are less then add more money. And don't forget tp add a 10% contingency. Add everthing up and compare car to price guide but it does not include this type of car. A strong driver condition car in my opinion is worth $20k. At least I would not sell my '70 Fury "Pursuit" for less than that if not more.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had the means to do so.

That is literally all the cars I've ever dreamed of owning, I always wanted a Police package car, always wanted a two door post, and since I've dreamed of Mopars I've wanted a REAL 440 car, ever since I bought my Fury I've wanted a two door hardtop big block Fury.

i also have a 69 a/c lower dash along with several other a/c parts if you need them.
