I'm guessing this ad was for 1971 New Years.

I hated that Mod stuff back then.
Still do, despite it now has more fans than it did when new.
If a guy had one of those, we rediculed the crap outta him for being a pussy.

Very very true, like a panther pink car. I knew a guy that brush painted one black to cover it up in the 80's. Army green metallic Bbody with the goofy flower top. Remember in the old days when you'd pass on a cool car because you didn't like the color of the interior.

I love the car, one of my favorite body styles. But the Mod top and all that.. I keep expecting the camera to zoom in and out real fast like a dance segment on Laugh-In.

Old lady in my neighborhood when I was a teenager had a brand new yellow baracuda with a mod top. She was the neighborhood Avon lady. Drove it in the snow too....like everybody else.
