WOW.....!!! I don't get any better then that..... (maybe a white top and road wheels), If all is as stated then that is a bargain price range too. A safe investment to be enjoyed.

Are those the correct wheel covers for a 70....?

Hmmm it is sweet looking machine...but I don't believe it. I'd want irrefutable proof of all those claims (after all you are being asked to shell out $20K worth of green.)

I wouldn't buy any car unseen by my own eyeballs.

I've purchased several vehicles sight unseen, including three that I have now. It takes a little judgement on human nature when communicating with the sellers. An honest seller will usually down talk when questioned about spicifics, Or tell the truth if he dosen't know.
I've walked away from several also based on sketchy descriptions or lack of desire to comply with inspection/photo requests. But the vehicles i've followed up with a purchase have all been a pleasent experience. There has always been some aspect of the vehicle that was a dissapointment but nothing that would have been a deal killer with a personal inspection.
My 64 Dodge crewcab was purchased unseen by me, and I drove it 2200 miles home. Both the 65 Coronet 500 convertible and the 69 300 convertible were transported, even with that extra expense they both were excellent examples for my investment.

The 20 k tag is all the reason Mark needs.....
His 401k's are going to go down the toilet anyway.
That's $20k that will never depreciate.

Ditto my present NYB.
A couple of phone calls with that sweet little old lady was all I needed...

Well, I for one don't trust human nature past four feet. I've seen how the nature of some humans have royally screwed over otherwise trusting and honest individuals. There are some people who are rotten to the core, and see no problem with that. I'm sure there are plenty of "EX" Ebay buyers who let their human judgement skills guide them.....and got ripped from here to the moon and back. All it takes is once.

2o k would be too risky for me for buying only with pics. Can give you an idea of the condition but not on technical condition like brakes, engine etc. though they often go "hand in hand" with body condition to what I learned. Lower four digit price range is something else. At least in my income bracket.

For $20k, I would absolutely make a person inspection, including on the lift. And not by an appraiser. IN PERSON.
I wouldn't care it Mother Theresa was selling it.

I think that investing that amount would require a personal inspection. I also would expect the vehicle to be capable of being driving a long distance, which would off set transportation costs a little and add to the enjoyment of the purchase and ownership of the vehicle. Nothing like a road trip to become familure with the vehicle, and the adventure is something that will stay with you always.... You only go around once... Might as well make it a road trip in a great vehicle.

Well put. Vividly remember buying my first high performance car with less than 2500 lbs. and 250 hp in my early twenties and driving it home on the Autobahn. I own it to this day and sometimes wonder how I managed to get it through the early years without accident.

I sent an email inquiring what city/town it is in and for more pics, if it is still avail and close enough, i'll go look this weekend. According to what I see so far, it is 4 hrs away.

Wife might kill me, but....

Really? Go Mark Go.

well, it's still a longshot, lots of stuff has to line up. Most has according to what I see already, but there is still a problem of $$. I have nowhere near that available right now, even if the car is still available by the time I am able to go look at it.

I want to see the underside and the tag. The pic makes it look like it has a tilt/tele too. this car sold new for $4580 base, so it has at least $1420 in options according to the ad.

Guess I ought to just shut up , very unlikely this is going to work out.

no, that won't do it. She does not like big cars, if she did i'd still be driving a 96 Caprice. It's not the car so much as the $$.
