that's ok Bob..........I end up regretting everything else so why not this too? I cannot go to look @ it until Saturday, and that's if it's still there and he is available, so it's still a long shot. then there is the q of whether or not it is the right engine. And I don't see the color thing.......still all looks gold to me.

Well, for $7500, you won't get a perfect car.. it appears to be a fair deal at that price. You could make an offer too. It looks good cosmetically it's the proper colours (most people screw up the shade of gold) and you could drive it while you save $$ for the repairs (It looks like it will need a proper trunk pan replacement...plus I'd lose the silly guages as well as the terrible 3rd brake light treatment in addition to the obvious interior broken pieces). The bubbles by the rear quarters are of concern, but you may be able to get away with a cheap repair and a blow in.
The fibreglass pieces look very good (ie. not horribly warped) and not cracked where they usually do (around the hood pins). By the way...all Hurst 300s had a power trunk as the Hurst deck lid had no provision for a key...it was a vacuum release with a manual back up release.

The firewall is white like it is supposed to be, looks like undercoating or sprayed black from when they sprayed the core support.

Definitely worth a closer look, looks like it could be an honest car. I don't think it's going to last to long.

I just went through the photos again, had to look at the whole thread for all of them. It is rough, probably too rough for your liking but it would be a fun driver. You'd have a 2 owner car that you dont have to worry about

Can't see it. 69 - 71 440 HP's were Hemi Orange. Find it a real stretch that they culled out the ones going into a chrysler and them painting it another orange....
Convince me with data. Until then....

Mark, if the car checks out, make him an offer. If there aren't any other major surprises, I would pay up to $7500. You've seen the other Hurst cars for sale.........none are this nice. With a little work..........you'll have a spectacular car!!!!
