How am I muddying your waters?? This is a forum where we are all striving to learn and contribute. If we were all doing some reading on are own there'd be no need for the informative conversation. Eh?

True.

If one does read some the info that has been published, one will learn a lot of wrong things as evidenced by the start of this thread. (N code HP in a Chrysler because that's what all the VIN decoders say.....).

Only through open discussion on boards like this and sourcing out the facts can we learn what really happened.

Shared experiences are very helpful. Plus, we can then carry on that knowledge to help debunk some of the 'wrong' info that is out there or taken as gospel.

I didn't know squat about C bodies until I started hanging out here. You guys have been incredibly helpful and I thank you for that.

I am truly grateful you're here Doug, though I am not 100 percent in agreement with you on this

I have been out driving Goldie all weekend. Did I miss something here :3gears::beermug::beermug::popcorn:

We are trying to get to the bottom of something and you call BS on a widely published fact with nothing to back it up. The artist Muddy Waters sang a song titled "You Can't Lose What You Never Had" and it's fitting here lol. Don't go getting you feelers hurt on the internet now.

5 years on this forum and I never even knew I had "feelers" but it took less than 2 months for me to form a solid opinion about you.

We got to the bottom of it when I got sent to my room. 70 Cordoba is a sales package with a unique interior and a N in the VIN which means you get a 383 4bbl. Looks clear.

Charts still make my head hurt.
I learned that the HP version uses colder plugs which gives me a idea for my off the line trouble in my car.

Colder plugs usually for high rpm not where my problem is so most likely no. I can probably use more initial advance but i need to find this spot and then weld up slots on advance mech. I am led to believe it is leaning out now that the popping is gone (more tune up, thanks btw) need to do a plug check, but I am in sort some issues out to take a road trip with my big truck in Nov. mode. The car drives normal okay it only acts up when I mash it in first gear so I will just finish the season and rebuild the carb over the winter. I don't want to muddy the waters anymore in this thread so back to my room.:poke:

Don't worry Dave, it looks like I'm the only one muddying someone's waters here. You go back to your room if you want and I'll try to avoid calling unfounded B.S..
