1970 Chrysler Imperial Lebaron 4dr HT

Amazing what a color will do for a car... blue 72 is amazingly beautiful!

Many years ago, I found a triple deep blue Imp Coupe in the Salvage section on ebay Motors. CHEAP cheep. Posted it the WIW section of a forum. Another member looking for exact same thing snatched it up. has it to this day and still worships that car.

The triple deep blue or deep blue/black interior/top is striking... seems most of the really nice condition cars are color challenged, why is that? I guess its the fact that the early to mid 70s were flooded with greens, browns and everything in between.

My dad had a triple blue, (B7 I think...dark), 69 Imperial LeBaron in 69. Man that car was nice....! Dark blue leather..
I had my A12 Road Runner at the same time but would borrow his Imperial to double date with my buddy and our girls.

When I was 14 my dad had a '70 Imperial LeBaron(?). Triple green, driver and pass power seats, power everything else, tilt/tele, rim blow wheel, and it had a scan button for the radio down on the floor by the high beam switch. He paid $200 for it in '89. He ended up yanking the motor around '92 and dumping it into a '73 Challenger. He sold the body to someone with the Challenger's 318/904 stuffed in the trunk.

That car was my first introduction to Mopar's. I still remember that big breather with the "Chrysler TNT" pan.

I wish I knew what happened to it

So, car is going to CFR Lines in Ca. just saw it on a dispatch website. This equates to Europe... WOW... who da thought! Lol

yes, it is swimming to the netherlands, meet some Imperial guys who are friends of the new owner.

I am thinking DB... somehow got transposed on photo?

that is pretty simple.
The picture has been taken from the german homepage www.fuselage.de
It is run by my friend Daniel Bode (=DB).
People used very often pictures from his page so he watermarked them.
His "DB" can even be found in magazines such as Hemmings and collectible automobile, too.
