So everybody agrees that this car, that they are asking 35k for, needs a complete paint job.

No,....the sellers lowered the asking price to $25K and then changed it back to $35K.

Don't freak out yet. Just watch and see what happens.........

Opportunity favors the prepared mind!

Even at $25K this is a good value car, the costs associated with changing the things under the hood runs to less than $1K and the repaint to a factory original standard should be no more than $4K to $5K. With that in mind, you could conceivably have a far more original car for about $30K when comparing it to the black one for $29K which also needed work at that price. Yes black is more desirable but in balance shouldn't make a huge difference in price in this instance. Now if the car is being offered for $22K, then it's a no brainer.

Just educate me on these wheels quickly...the car for sale here has the right rims and centre caps but is missing the right trim ring?
Does anybody have a picture of just the trim ring without the wheel?
Or is it a trim ring and then an extra filler piece?

I believe you are greatly underpricing a good paint job by a factor of at least 2, and probably 3.

The wheel covers are correct.

One of the guys that had a blue 71 GT sin the registry had sold his car. About three years ago, maybe four he sold off much of his 71 GT stuff. I probably should have jumped on that

I owned a '71 Sport Fury Coupe with these wheels in 1979. It is a large one piece trim ring and the center cap is bolted on from the back. It appears he has the correct wheels which should be different if I remember correctly. He is missing the trim rings.

I changed my mind, I like it better outside. Not my first choice of colors but it looks better sitting there on the pavement

20k would make me call, 35k would make me appreciate my '70 Fury III "Pursuit" (plus I like the '70 hood buldges).
