Crap. Now I'm back to not having seen an E86 in a 74-up Chrysler. What a topsy-turvy holiday season this is turning out to be.

here's my former 1974 Monaco ... DK41U4, and E86. I think cops had 'em until the end after 1978. sorry about pic quality.

No E86 440 available in 1978.

yes, i was sloppy in my words. sorry.

agreed, NO E86's in C- bodies in '78 tho they continued in B-bodies cop cars through '78 when they (Monaco and Fury) went away.

can anyone tell me more about this "special handling package" ? one of my parts cars has this tag on the core support. I was hoping it entailed the rare self leveling option on the rear

I have the "Special Handling Package" on my '78 and '79 New Yorkers. My understanding it is referring to special fleet cars or executive cars. I know for a fact my '78 St Regis Coupe was a factory executive car.

Do you have S54 Automatic Height Control on your 78 NY'er?

Agreed, Special Handling does not refer to suspension parts, but rather for the car to receive special attention during the build process. Special components are indicated by the option codes on the tag.
