1978 NYB, 392 MILES,For the sceptics.

I like it when Richard checks in once a week...maybe next week he'll bring something new to the table.

Oh, I wasn't aware that he had the price at a completely ridiculous price of $50,000. You know that last time I actually laughed that hard and uncontrollably? It was while watching the Geisha Boy with Jerry Lewis and the scene where the huge baseball player fell into the bath and flooded the town. Couldn't stop laughing for the life of me in 1968 and I just looked at the scene now and it did the same thing. The $50,000 just hit the water like that ball player.

^^LOL! Fair value for this car $9-10 Grand tops.... and that's being generous IMO!

I'm really surprised with all the Mopar Chrysler wisdom here that no one knew about this hundred car hoard or hear about the sale, or for that matter raised up that subject.
I gave it about 45 minutes of searching on the net and coudn't find anything definitive as to who owned or sold this hoard but I did find several lower mileage NYB's of the 1978 vintage with way less miles (121 & 166 miles) for a whole hell of a lot less monies.

A lot of times, these big hoards are just advertised locally for estate auction. Unless the hoard is filled with B and E bodies.... no one really cares about C bodies. C body hoards of more than 10 cars are very rare.

With the things already pointed out with this car....I would like to inspect the NOS unreplacable parts like the condition of the roof rail seals. The rubber could be as hard as rock or ready to crumble. Hopefully the rubber is as pliable as it was as new. Who knows until someone actually checks it out. The wiper cam could last another 50 years or self destruct the first time you turn them on. Unfortunately their aren't any NOS replacement parts available on the planet to replace these items if so needed.

As a Formal worshipper and an admirerer of all things Formal, I have zero interest in this car except for it's journey to its next flip to see where it goes.
90% of my distaste is because of the seller himself.

I totally agree. The ONLY reason the flipper joined our forum is too figure out how deep of a delusional price he could dream of flipping this car for.

BTW, I have 1000% more interest in knowing the whereabouts and new mods of your 4 speed NY'er.

I truly fear the state this poor thing must be in right now and I have only myself to blame. Nobody else. I'll own up to it and take the rap. Shame on me.

Makes Lakeland Lash look like Mother Theresa.
Harsh? Yep. At 50k, I'm allowed.

He should at least give it the Lash Treatment and Armorall the crap out of it!

And have some professional photo's taken and posted.....

That car was sweet when you sold it. It's all the mods others made later that F'ed up the car.

LOL!

If it sold at $50k....what are our cars worth????

:realcrazy::realcrazy::realcrazy:
I was right from Day 1 about the all Formals are worth 25-hundred.
My NYB just concluded a stint on eBay at $8k and No Reserve.
Nothing. Only one inquiry from a Fin who's English was so bad I suspect it was really @Carmine ghosting me.
8k!

And you didn't even get any lowball offers from one of these high price classic car dealers? Yours looks like the kind they list in the mid to high teens.
