I have for sale a 1978 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY LeBaron woodie Station Wagon. The engine is a 360 4-barrel. The overall condition is excellent, barely any visible rust as it was stored in a garage for over 30 years. The mileage is very low, 84,000 {84,162 to be exact} . The interior is near mint. The factory label on drivers door says car was built 4-1978. This car features the super rare WOODEN SPOKED {which are period dating from 1978, each of the wood spokes is stamped WOODSPOKE COPYRIGHT 1978 WEST WHEEL and A-15 on reverse} hubcaps and are made of real wood and are virtually unheard of. The wood has been restored on the rims {after these fotos}, the chrome plating {on rims} needs some help, surface issues. There is also included the original set of 4 hubcaps that came with the car off the showroom floor, in near mint condition. This car was 1 owner before I purchased the car and I have not driven more than 100 miles. This car was never in an accident, no repairs, no putty, etc. All gas, transmission fluid and oil has been drained and replaced {since the car was stored so long without driving}. The car runs excellent. New battery and new air shocks for back hatch. The fotos you see of the interior is how I found it, no restoration done, same with the exterior, this is how the car was found, unrestored. The difficulties are, one wind shield wiper does not work, can't find replacement part., also, the speedometer link needs replacing. The antenna for the radio powers up {sometimes} when you turn on the radio. Power front seats, manual windows. Dash looks mint, see fotos. Cruise control. Air conditioning. All interior lights work and there are a lot. All doors, back hatch open and close perfect. There is included the original roof rack. All of the woodie siding is present, some fading. All the faux wood trim is present, all emblems are present. This is a great car for any Chrysler or woodie enthusiast. This car is solid and is the shorter version of the earlier 70's wagons. The INTERIOR IS FACTORY LEATHER. The floor matts are also factory original, also, the Vogue tires are the white walls with the extra gold pin stripe, which I have been told is hard to find also. Also, all chrome plating, other than on rims, is excellent. The original owner tried to get every possible option and went above and beyond and ordered the wooden spokes. The wood rims are factory made, solid wood and period, meaning 1978, and add exceptional ambience and intrigue. The ENGINE is the original 1978 from the factory. The one info plaque {inside fender well} is full of what appears to be a bunch of useless number gibberish, maybe someone can make heads or tails of it. Also, heater works great, radio works great as well as speakers. The Air Conditioning needs recharged to work properly. Passed this past week. There are MOPAR stickers in a few locations. There are rear speakers which work great, car has the extra tow/radiator capacity. CALL after 10am, before 8pm...707-845-2038 if you have any further questions.

mples in this time capsule condition. If I didn't already have one with TOO MUCH invested in it...... I'd go for it.

The wheels look like powder coated steel. There is a company in Texas that does custom powder coat and woodgrain is available in several shades and designs.
They coat commercial windows and doors as a specialty but take on stuff like wheels and old steel.dashes as well

My former 78 Town and Country was feacherd in Collectable Automobile a few months back, Its now in good hands in Ill. Iv seen this car before and it had those wood wheels which are real wood as stated. Very fitting!

Damn that's the longest wind'ed text description I've ever seen.

I came across a Plymouth Satellite Regent station wagon on FaceBook Marketplace that I never have ever heard about and thought was fake as the front fender Satellite Regent emblem didn't match, the Regent looked like a aftermarket stick-on.
But after a search sure enough it's real.
