I'm not sure what you misunderstood about this, or why you think I'm misunderstanding his statement. It sounds like you still don't understand what your "wise ole dad" was saying.

It's gonna be my one true vacation for the year... I plan to be out of Florida for as much of the time off as I can get away with... and if you saw the shithole I stayed at last year, you would understand my desire to plan a little earlier...
Besides... If can help Dave get a tent, I won't need to pack my own shelter (again).
The link was forYou able to make it this year???

Bob, I think that right there is enough to get you on the "you suck" list.I live 1.5 hours from Carlisle....
I'm not as close as Bob, but 1/2 a day trip for me is easy.Bob, I think that right there is enough to get you on the "you suck" list.
I refuse to wear a jacket in July, at least not anywhere in Pa.You guy's only suck until I think about needing to bring a jacket in July...

I'd settle for an hour away, 1 mile definitely gets him on my "you suck" list.No , living an hour hour away does not get you on the "You Suck "list. Mark however, may perhaps qualify as being on the list by location since he lives in Carlisle, less than a mile away from the fairgrounds.
I don't want to be anywhere that 113 degrees is considered chilly.Thats the Carlisle sun, heat index that day was 113. If You cant stand the heat stay out of Carlisle

Haha.... I've got a sister-in-law that lives in Phoenix, she's telling us that when it gets to 110 it really doesn't feel that hot because it's a "dry heat." I tell her that it's dry in my oven but that doesn't mean I want to be in there. It's not the heat. It's the humidity...
