2017 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals July 14-16

The closer you get to Harrisburg, the more chance you have of getting a place at a late date.

We stayed at the La Quinta in Mechanicsburg. It used be the Baymont. We won't be staying there again.

I haven't decided on a place yet. We usually stay a half hour or so away from the fairgrounds.

I just signed up at the Comfort Inn in Mechanicsburg (Bob's choice too). They have a five-day cancellation policy and only require $11.98 deposit to hold the room. Hey Bob! You wanna run that NYB ?

I've been thinking about it for a few years now, and have had to cancel for a variety of reasons each time. Still not sure about this year either, but I looked for hotels, and it seems you have to be this far out to get a reasonable room rate at a reasonable hotel. I don't know if it would be a road trip or not either.

There's a lot more hotels in the area than Carlisle lists on their site.

I never checked the Carlisle site. I checked on Expedia, Kayak, and Hotels.com, along with a few hotel brand websites. I was thinking arrive on the 13th (Thurs), leave on the 16th (Sun). We'll see, as I have three cross-country trips to pay for already this year.

Sure, I might have the Stroker motor in it by then.

I'll guarantee you that Carlisle will be one of the best trips you ever had.

Youre better off reaching out to the Motel rather than one of those sites

I made sure I had a free cancellation policy to fall back on... I booked Wednesday to Monday check out... I don't know that I will actually be there all of that, yet. My brother is in the hotel industry and sometimes he can get me a hook up... but $40 bucks more a night than last year + only a half mile or so farther down the road is worth it to me... that place sucked. FYI budget inn... Don't do it unless desperate (I was). If you wait too long even the out of town places like Bob's and Big John's preference get booked up.

If I really get crazy, I would just camp... I don't think I would be able to walk after a night or two of that though.

I just made a reservation for the Comfort Inn in Mechanicsburg.

Diane and I rolled in EARLY Thursday morning, around 230 am. Rolled into the fairgrounds, took a shower and parked in the C body class. Set up our canopy and slept right there until 730am.

All in I think it was $280 for 2 nights at the comfort Inn at Mechanicsburg. Nice place and includes breakfast.

We stayed at the La Quinta last year and our experience wasn't very good. I'm hoping the Comfort Inn will be better.

Thats Carlisle at 730 in the morning on the field this last year. Apparently, they let you sleep anywhere
