Allright guys, finally got the motor out and cracked the 727 off. It was slipping when warm while not in my possession, so I don't know how bad it was. But, it needs some work. I think it's all stock, and would like to upgrade and get a shift kit and 2800 stall converter in it. The motor is a 383HP block with factory HP exhaust manifolds on it, with a Holley 600 on top and a pretty stock cam. Anyway, here's my dumb guy, I don't know much question... Wait for it... Hahah. I couldn't find any rebuild kits for the 65 cable shifted 727 online, everything was for 67 and up. I saw a guy who was rebuilding the cable shifted model with 67 internals... ??? Should I just take it to a shop and get this one worked on or maybe change over to a model with linkage instead of the cables? Originally, I was gonna try and rebuild it with a friend who's experienced, but not with 727's. Then I realized I might be in over my head on this one. I'm just looking for some advice and opinions, cuz I know some of you guys really know your stuff (I've been lurking in the weeds, reading your stuff for awhile now. I love this site) Anyway, that's about it for now, I'm gonna try to put up some pics you for fun...
