69 Fury 1 2 dr 6 cyl 3 speed manual.

I did not find any build sheet commando1. The seats are not from this car, and did look under the carpet but that had been replaced by prev owner.

Hey Mike,

Great car, hope to get mine in the same shape one day!

Also, have a big interest in manual gearboxes/transmissions. Regarding the A-745 / A-903 / A-230 units, there seems to be conflicting information out there on the web, I really would love to get this cleared up:

A-745: Have read that it was used 1961-1971, HD applications (does this mean ALL V8s, or just high-power small blocks & all big blocks?)
A-903: One source says used 1960-1972 with Slant Sixes, whole another says 1960-1970 for 6-cyl AND low power V8s (?)

A-230: One source says used 1973-on with Slant Sixes, while another says 1970-on (specific engine applications not stated?)

Information/thoughts very much appreciated, thanks

Cheers, Aidan

I'd bet the transmission types are listed in the MVMA's for each year for each model. From about '67/'68 (I'm just guessing on this) up through the early/mid '90s, the MVMA's were included in the technical press kit, but before that, they were just `published' and I really don't know who the intended target consumer was for the information.

I was re-reading a post a few back from commando1, the tranny is out of a 70 coronet 383. The engine is out of a 69 road runner. Thanks for all the info guys!

Well, from the looks of it, the previous owner knew his Mopar stuff.
He found a correct BB/bell housing/transmission/floorshift combo.
Dunrite.
Except the Effing hole.
The correct humps are available. Sheesh

Lol, yea commando the prev owner was a good guy, but not the type to go online and find any new replacement stuff. If he didnt have it or the local junkyard he made do however he could.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. We'll do. Will be a good "over the winter" project. Just wanna get it on the road now before the nice weather is gone!

I am looking forward to a buddy who worked in our detail shop at the dealership to come over tonight and get going on buffing out my fury. Started to put a few little things back on last night, fun to see it start to come back to life.

Kind of a task going through all the extra trim parts for the inside and out to use the best ones. The previous owner had a truckload of extras for it! I am gonna be selling off the ones I dont use.

Looking like Sunday will be the day to get the fury buffed! Can't wait. Put the window run channels on, cleaned and look good but need to find some new weatherstrips for them and of course with the "post" style car nobody seems to make any? I do have some stuff the prev owner found and may be able to make it work but would be nice to have new and the correct style. Getting the steel wheels painted today and hope to mount the BFG'S tomorrow.

Hey Mike,

Spotted pix of your car on Facebook. What wheel/tyres are you running on your car? Plan for mine is 15 x 7 with 235/70R15 up front, 15 x 8 (4.5" B/S) with 275/60R15 rear.

Cheers mate, Aidan

Hi Aidan! You have a good plan, thats what I am running on mine. They fit really nice and I think they look great on it.

Have a great day!

Lol, no commando I did not! Looking like friday will be the day of buffing, or at least getting started on it. Lots of paint to buff on these c bodies. I did get the steel wheels and BFGs on it and it looks really good I think. I will try and some pics up tonight.

We got the deck lid done last night. It looks great! spent the rest of the evening wetsanding the rest of the car. We are hoping to finish it tonight or tomorrow. I will get pics up as soon as its done!

Finished all the wetsanding last night. My buddy came over last night and he buffed out the d/s fender and hood. Looks like wet glass! Turned out so nice. The pics I took are hard to tell how good it turned out as it was kinda late and with the garage lights it looks pretty dark, I will have to put it outside and snap some.

Great looking car! I am looking forward to some new pictures including a few of the interior.
