Old Man with a Hat
the whole time you were taking those pictures you were thinking of the guys on the board werent you?
I kinda was Dave, Wanted you guys to see what my Next Plymouth might look like, well I shouldn't say that, my next might be a '69 RR, a friend of the family called after he found out I was restoring the Plymouth, he wants me to go look at a '69 RR he has in his back yard, it's a 383 RR /727 combo, he said it's rusty, I laughed a little and mentioned the availability of aftermarket panels.the whole time you were taking those pictures you were thinking of the guys on the board werent you?

Well, called my bodyman this morning, Sunday I'll bring it home, my girl is going to go with me to get it, so I'm happy about that. Tomorrow I'll hit the scrap yard and see if i can get two looms to replace the missing ones on my 318.
Nick
There's only one good yard left in this area and the yard owner and my grandfather went way back (my grandfather used to get parts for his Model t from Art) so I'm a preffered customer so to say, I park in the yard next to Art's truck, he tells me to take parts half the time if there small, he's interested in scrap, he hardly touches the cars, he's got stuff back to the 30's.Nick I love to see your posts (well except for your fetish with 318's .. kidding) .. it's really refreshing to see a young man looking forward to going to a junkyard which was one of my favorite pastimes as a younger man and still would be if there were one that was worthwhile, and would let me roam, anywhere near me. When I was in Wichita Falls, TX back in the early to late 80's there were a lot of yards around Sheppard AFB. Then I saw the easterners (no offense folks they were saving them or the parts anyway) come down with rigs and haul a lot of the desirable B and E bodies back to the east coast then the owners crushed the rest (later B, E, and all of the earlier A, B and C bodies) because it was quick cash and they didn't' have the numbers of, or sought after cars to make it worthwhile anymore or the owners heirs didn't want to get dirty.
Nice 318! Mine looked like that 10 years ago LOL.
