'69 Fury III Convertible Build Thread- Project IVY

Well aside from some separation Anxiety all is decent today, dropped off the car, then the trailer this morning and had a good long talk with my body man, we have the plan finalized and Angel will soon be seeing some of his original color, As per azblackhemi's suggestion I opted for the more expensive but better quality and better matching (to original color) Dupont paint, price will be worth it later.

Nick

I did the same thing Nick and went with the Dupont paint and couldn't have been happier with the color. It will be well worth the money.

Double Son of a *****?
Yes, I'll say it double son of a *****. If our youth had half the motivation you have, North America would have absolutely nothing to worry about in the future. I didn't think it was possible but I have even more respect for you now. I always enjoy your thread.

Thank you, I really do appreciate the comments you guys leave, helps keep the motivation going.
nice work my man. I hope the paint dudes put some extra time into this one for ya.
He's a close friend of mine, infact he's the one who helped me trailer both cars home, he didn't get home the first night till midnight, he's a true friend.

Went and got my F8 today, also stopped in at my bodymans day job to see what he was up to, he's got the firewall ready to be primed and had to put a small patch in.

I'm getting anxious now.

Ohhh thats gonna look Perrty......:love9:

I hope so Dave, gotta have a nice car, that's my goal,

Got chatting with a Mopar friend of mine and finally nailed my engine plan right down to the last spec.

Have the engine bored from 3.91 to 4.04 (stock 340 spec) (obviously all new internals)
340 J code heads (2.02 intake, 1.60 exhaust VS 1.78 Intake, 1.50 exhaust)
stock spec 340 cam and lifters
Honed 318 Exhaust manifolds
Edelbrock Intake
Edelbrock carb ( I have a choice here two friends have carbs I was told I could have, one is a 500 CFM jetted for a 360 the other is a 600CFM jetted for a 340)
Unsilenced air cleaner
Double roller timing chain

and you know the rest (new water pump, PS pump, Alternator, starter, fuel pump, belts, hoses, coat of paint, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condensor, all new gaskets and seals, etc)

Nick

That's a job for another time though.

Can't think of one myself. Nothing wrong to take the grandkids to Dairy Queen with a 318-2.
