'69 Fury III Convertible Build Thread- Project IVY

The Engine on my 69 Fury III Convertible is Red. However, 69FuryIIIConvertible has done a nice job on the engine paint and Turquoise was available in 1969. Seems to me that I read somewhere that 318's built in Canada were painted in Turquoise, but I could be wrong on that. My 69 will be undergoing a body off restoration. I will be modifying the 318 and upgrading the internals of the transmission and rear end, but the engine will remain red.

This is what I found searching the Web on Mopar Engine Colors for 1969.

I believe all of your work has produced the correct results for a U.S. built engine. The Windsor Engine Plant was it's own animal and did things their own way. I think you're both correct.

Well, I'm done for the season guys.............[iurl="http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=40174&d=1413861589&d=1413861589"]

Ironically, last night it was warmer in Whitby than it was down here in the `banana belt'. So, it's all relative.
My car is 2.5 hours north east of me. I wish it were closer, but thats how it goes.

I can do that. My inner fenders are being sandblasted as we speak.

Nick

Well since we spoke last, I have collected a **** ton of parts, A second job (thank to my girlfriend and her mom) and a nasty thought that I need another C body in my life, this time with a Big Block and two more doors.

Got the inner fenders back from being sandblasted. Found some old repairs I didn't know existed in them, one will have to be cut out and replaced (they decided to patch over the rust, naturally the rust ate through both)

Anyway.......Pictures......also some pictures of what I picked up on Saturdays, some 906 440 heads..........$75 already Mag tested and sand blasted, my machinist says they need one valve guide (cracked) and two seats re-cut. For my next toy.............140 MPH Speedo should show up this week too....also for my next toy........Nearly bought a radar gun for it too............my girlfriend should have never shown me EBay and told me she had paypal I could use.

Anyway, pictures in no particular order......

This patch should be a hole to drain the battery tray.

Do you have a photo of how it should look? I might as well fix it.

X2, glad all is well Nick. Lets see the new speedo! What kind of 4 dr are ya looking for?
I'm looking at a '73 Fury sedan, 318 car at the moment. But I'd like it to be a 440 car.

anyway, Ebay picture. Came from a NYSP '72 Fury

Anyway, thanks guys, I always know I'll get a warm welcome back here.

Here are a couple, the smaller hole is for the bolt, the flat spot on the large hole is to put the c-clip on the small hole.

Good to hear from you Nick, and glad to hear your still making headway on the convertible.
I recently also became a 69 Fury owner, (caretaker). A Custom Suburban 6P.

Yes we are more of caretakers then owners sometimes.

I like those chrome moldings on the front extensions. Nice touch. My 69 wagon doesn't have them. I might need to locate a pair for him.
