70 300H Convertible ??????????

Not a lot about 200 total of hearses and ambulances on that chassis. The tail lights on the 61 are one of the few years they did not use the stock caddy taillight. 61 cars have a dual pod that would not work for hearse or ambulance. The lens is caddy but the light housing is unique to the commercial chassis . It is a heavy sand cast part. For back up lights they use 59 El Camino back up lights mounted on the bumper blade.

I kinda like hearses, but don't think I could own one for the same reason I can't own a really nice pickup... I would be too tempted to use that space. I keep thinking camping and towing...

@Dan Scully that is an impressive professional car collection you have, I do find it fascinating how many unique parts were used in the conversions. The windshields alone defies logic for me, it would have been so much cheaper to fill that area with steel... those cars really are from another era, not just the base vehicle, but the craftsmanship and effort to create a functional and visually appealing product...

Now we get this...

All the pics I have seen on the hood pin latches look like only 2 bolts hold it in ? Looks like there should another bracket or just the 2 bolts to the corner bracket with the hood bumper on it? Thanks
