NOT MINE 71 Monaco Triple Black Loaded 440 car

I was hoping that DH23T1D131428 (or is that DH23T1D131488 ) and Medina could go out for drives together. Not gonna happen then?

The car went to a good home. I kicked the tires via the internet. It wont be derbied, that I can assure you.

THANK GOD.

I asked the seller if the car was sold and if it was being saved.

He said "yep it's gone. I think derby."

Thank you for chiming in.

I did also. Being a Monaco made me think about it. Needing the work it does made me say no.
If it were a Polara, there would likely have been no thought involved, I'd have jumped in and regretted it later and even being a Monaco it was hard to hold back, especially with texting provocation.

If I am recalling correctly, quite a few years ago I had some correspondence with you - maybe on this site or via my email. In any case, given your site name, do you have any other Dodge Monacos, and if so could you show some photos of them?
Also, I believe you owned a Town & County wagon as well some time ago as well?

Just curious, what plans do you have for this new acquisition?

Thanks, Steve

I don't know why this assumption was made, but it damn near gave me a heart attack.

I'm really glad to see that this is not the case.

Steve, You are correct. We have spoken on the phone a couple times, as well as email and pms on this site. I did have a 70 Monaco 500 but sold it a few years back . I also had a 73 T and C that I sold a before Covid, and now regret that almost daily. What I sold is 3 times more expensive today, for a car in lesser condition/options.

I did not purchase the 1971 Monaco. Like polara71, the amount of work needed to bring the car back to my standards of acceptable driving was far more than I would be willing to do at this point. I forwarded the information on to someone I know, and they purchased the car. So, if anyone knows of a parts car with no rust from the back window rearward, please feel free to reach out.
I am currently out of C bodies. I store a 1968 T and C in my garage. It was bought at the same time as my 70 300 convertible in Y4 Gold. That car (300) has also been sold. It seems like 7 to 9 years is the limit of how long I can keep a car.
Currently flogging on a 71 Road Runner, sassy grass green 383, 4 speed air grabber car. But its getting the better of me. Life has been busy and it seems like free time is no longer free.

Thank you very much for clarifying just what is happening with the triple black Monaco. That in my view is a very special car and I too thought about going for it but I also do not need another car, especially one that needs so much work to bring back to life. The initial cost was negligible but the long term expense would be anything but................................

Best wishes..............................
