So I finally got the window down to open the gate and extract the regulator and motor. I'm guessing that this one can't be rebuilt..... Does anyone know of a source for these or others that will work in its place. The part number on the Bosch motor is 2486074.

Any help locating or cross referenceing a motor would be appreciated.

I would try and find a good reputable automotive electrician. Bring him what you have left there, and they could probably use the upper portion...which is the application specific part, and then use a motor from something else.

Sure the tailgate motor from a 65-78 C-body wagon would be very similar, if not the same. Or at least the "motor" portion should be usable as a core to help with a swap, rebuild.

I got this from rock auto as a replacement motor for my 69 300. I couldn't make it work for that and rock auto refunded me and said to just keep the motor because they didn't know the correct application.

It looks similar to yours and if you think you can make it work, it's yours for shipping cost....

Very generous Will!

Thanks all for the suggestions. I will follow up on these leads at let you know what I find.

I don't believe that a C body power door window motor will work. It is smaller than the tailgate window motor. Now I did sell all the tailgate window motors I had to a guy who used them as window motors in his Imperial so maybe an Imperial door glass motor will work?

There's nothing special about Imperial window motors at least as it pertains to '67 and later. Jer would have some input on the tailgate motors.

Not sure how early but the earlier ones were larger than the c body ones. They were the same size as the tailgate motors. The one this guy bought them for was a 60 I think.
