Well, the deck lid stripe is correct for the 78, but for the 78 side pinstripe followed the lower body line, not the upper. The 76-77 NYB (and 74/75 Imperials) had the upper stripe. At the quarter panel a factory look upper pinstripe would follow the body line and curve down before terminating...almost like a hockey stick motif.

That said, the car looks great (like all Formals) with a "custom" pinstripe.

Here's what the 78 side stripe looked like:

FINALLY!!!! I finally got it all back together over the weekend... It's been a long time coming! I know that the pinstripe as Mr. C, noted is up high, but I like it better up high so that was my decision.... I don't know.. I just like it up high better. It took a long time to get it but it was worth it and the guy who painted gave me a great price and a GREAT JOB!. Hope you all like it!
