78 new Yorker fan shroud repair

What type of plastic would a 78 nyb engine fan shroud be made out of? Fixing some small cracks before they get worse and just want to get the right glue. Thx

Not sure of the particular blend of plastic/resin they are made from, but you might shop the local Home Depot for adhesives for construction purposes. Might need to scuff the edges to be joined a bit for good measure. THEN hope the stuff sticks over time.

That's the thing I've got some permatex plastic weld but it doesn't work for polypropylene or polyethylene. It's all scuffed and prepped just trying to figure out what this is made from

I believe they are made of polypropylene.
