Indeed, that's what happened. How extraordinary you should have guessed.

Kind regards,

Did the one owner lose their car in a barn and forgot where they put it?

What he has sold: eBay Feedback Profile for luxurynsports
Can't tell if the seller was being sarcastic in that reply, but either way, sounds kinda like they let the cat out of the bag that it's not a 1-owner.
Funny thing... that reply makes me like them just a tiny bit... not enough to buy anything or trust them... but, good response on their part.

How can a one owner car be a barn "find"?

Unless you have alzheimers, you can't "find" something you own of that size. "Dammit where the hell did I put my Chrysler?"... "Oh $hit, there it is right here in the barn; Now how the hell did that get in here?"

Is this the same retread that has the '57 300 conv recovered from the Titanic? If it mysteriously gets 463 people putting it on their watch list I would be ready to wager on it.
Retread, or retard?

Well I was being a bit of a smart *** also which is why I sent the question. Actually I blame has2bmopar for giving me the idea...

Not you, your question to the seller was great, i laughed my A$$ off. Must have asheimers, where did i put that chrysler. How did it get into the barn. Dude that **** was funny.

I thought It was his reply that was being a smart ***. I mean dont lie if you dont honestly know if its a 1 owner car. Seriously, just tell the truth. People can see a trail of bullshit a mile away.

I remember being at a car show years ago. Early 90s. I'm showing my 69 charger R/T. You always got people walking around talking about their 440 Hemi they used to have with powerglide trans, that would do 8 second quarter mile times blah blah blah. Total B.S. right? I used to be nice, nod my head and go uh huh a lot trying to be nice. I finally got tired of the B.S. artists. So i'm at this show and a guy comes up taking about his 72 road runner convertible he used to own. I look at him square in the eye and said not without some creative sawsall work you didnt. They didnt make a road runner convertible in 1972.

Good for you... I play nice too often, I love a good and fair comeback. Sarcasm is a bit of a lost art for many, the seller didn't help their sale one bit... but I liked the reply.

I honestly think that a lot of those folks want to feel like they are part of the car culture when they come to a show as a spectator. Thats why mostly i would try to be nice. I currently dont have a completed vehicle to show, but i do visit car shows and look at all the vehicles. Sometimes i get good ideas for mine.

I have a 2007 mustang GT. It was my divorce gift to me. I bought it brand new when i gave my first wife a boot in the ***. Its got 8,700 miles on it. I take it out on good days. Its got the shaker hood, i added to it, hood pin kit w lanyard cables, flowmasters, ford motorsports tune, a 3 piece ducktail spoiler, GT350 stripes down the side, a saleen short throw shifter, steeda motorsports polyurethane shifter bushings, and a cold air intake.

A really nice car. A modern classic i'd like to say, but since its a new car. I dont regard it as car show material, but it is a "one owner car" lol pix below are from my last mini road trip about 200 miles. Car makes me feel like Steve McQueen in bullitt when driving it. I should have waited for the 2008 bullitt edition in highland green, with driving light and spoiler delete. Those got snapped up by collectors.

I believe these people think '1-owner' is some kinda designation, like it's in the VIN or the letters on the hood. Billybob buys a car from an estate from the son of the guy who bought it new, sells it to a buddy by text while he's dragging it home. That guy puts air in the tires and flips it to another guy or gives it to him to pay off a debt. That guy then puts it on ebay. And as long as every knucklehead along the way doesn't title it, or keeps calling it a one-owner, it still is.

And I didn't make that story up, I saw it on ebay.

Stan 'tricked' a guy on here once, he was selling a white 70 Fury, 1-owner car. Stan asks how long he's had it (knowing what reality was). Guy answers '8 years'.
