@polara71 ... It's getting kinda boring in here without much content from you and a few other notable members.

In the past week I have seen too many chevrolets and fords... too many bikinis(I never would have thought I'd say that)... too many "funny" pictures...

I suck too, I haven't had much to contribute that was worth watching either...

It has been a pretty nasty winter for some of us, as the weather changes things will pick up.
I do agree, WAY to many pictures of Fords, and Chevies. After all, this is a Chrysler "C" body site. For me, if I want to look at them, I can take a walk through a wrecking yard.
Never enough Bikini's, (enough said).
Never enough funny pictures, (again enough said).
The guys have to start working on their cars so we can use the knowledge we have before we forget it, (old timers disease).
And yes I am just as bad as the rest of us.

Methinks David is taking an FCBO sabbatical of which I could also use right now.
I've got some gripes. Best left unsaid. Better to take a sabatical instead.

Well, I got my hopes up when the weather eased up a week or so ago, but I woke to snow and temps in the teens yesterday. On the bright side I got my points and condensers from Halifaxhops yesterday. So when the weather does break I'll be putting them in and rebuilding the carb which I already have a kit for.

I learned years ago if you don't have a heated place to work you want to wait for it to warm up before playing with carb cleaner. It has a way of turning your fingers into ice.

I truly have done jack squat this winter on my car. I want to start her this weekend but she has pissed all her tranny fluid out and I have no money for more.... yes, I have no money for transmission fluid. Winter sucks.

Agreed. Things are changing and life goes on. The newer, youthful membership is bringing updated opinions and ideas of what a C body means to them. Most don't relate to cars built 45/50 years ago for a market demand then. And I get it. Us "old guys with hats" purest who remember the cars when new on the lots are fewer now.
It's tough trying to convince a young guy that a 318 is a fine engine and much more user friendly than a 440 for normal pleasure driving, which our C bodys were built for.
To me a C body represents a period "I made it and I'm successful" image more so then a "look how muck smoke I can make" statement.
I can't keep up with the energy level of the younger crowd so will slowly fade away.
Just happy someone will carry on with the C body era cars.

If it weren't for this site, I might sill be one of those guys! I'm totally fine with a 383 rebuilt to stock specs as my next power plant. I'm even going with smaller exhaust than I would have 5 years ago. I do appreciate these cars in stock form, so much more than I did in my 20's, when they were just beater cars. We just knew those big 440's could move those barges along!

I'll never know what any of my old rides were, or meant back in their day, I'm just too young (at 42.6 years old) to know anything but what I grew up with. I know enough that I saw dark green and dark brown cars all over as a kid, dad even had an old Ford LTD that was brown.

I still like aftermarket wheels, although I try to keep them at least period correct looking, no Dub's for me.

I think it's hard to convince a kid there is more beyond their phone it tablet screen, out there in that big old world, just waiting for them to discover it. Any kid who want to talk about my old cars or my girlfriend's Charger, I stop and take as much time as I can, never know what you might spark inside someone's head.

To a the Old Men in Hats, I thank you for all that you have contributed to this site, and hope that you stay as long as possible, so many members here have so much to offer, and I'd be screwed without some of the help I've gotten. I wouldn't have gotten the 500 if not for this site.

I might post too many pictures of dogs and scantily clad women, bit I can't talk cars 24/7, just ask my girlfriend, she won't let me!

But a big thanks to you old time timbers for contributing what you have, I'm gracious and thankful for all you have done.

No go do whatever it is you have to do!

Are you sure talking about it won't help?

I think you're right...bikinis, funny pics and Chebbies take the spotlight when the weather is just about killing our soul...I have been running the Imperials too close to the snow and salt because i'm going nuts. But in all fairness...rather see a little bikini now...talk about pain in the arse Auto temp ll in a month or so.

BTW...I thought that recent thread titled "What's wrong with the forum right now" was really about recent newbies like me...
I was relieved it was about mostly Apple products and forum connectivity phone issues.
