Car really is in incredible shape, I like it. I wonder what it will go for?

Dave

I'm wondering too.. and watching the auction closely!

Last "sun roof Imp" I saw, went for 20k + and that one wasn't even original paint, and with dyed / painted interior.

It was the triple black 71' from that guy in Colorado..

Five days left, now at 10 grand plus. Nice car. Even though I'm not a fan myself (I prefer blue or white ones), the brown color is in vogue again, after 45 years. Just look at the color charts of new VW, Audi, BMW, Merc, etc. - This Imp Coupe just might end up in Europe.

friend of mine in germany bought a 57 Desoto Fireflite from the seller

Three days to go, and now at 17 grand. Reserve not met, going up... Well, it's nice, but not that nice. It would need another 5 grand for shipping, and VAT, and it's not blue. Pass.

The current owner bought this thing cheap and is now on the flip. It came out of Eastern Pa not too far from me. Gorgeous car and if the price seems high, find another one.

From any angle that is a beautiful Imperial. The color combo is fantastic. Then again, an Imperial in that condition would do any color justice. The interior is stunning. Wish I could afford it.

Agree.. ANY color..! Although I'd prefer pretty much all other colors available in 1971, I's still love and cherish this stunningly beautiful car. I wonder what the minimum is.. but I have a sneaking suspicion, that it will reach it.. and make some dude very very happy!

I don't think they come much better than this one.. both condition, and options are spot on.. fender tag all stamped out like that .. Lovely !

That color brown looks stunning in the sun with that metalflake popping!

There another brown (my favorite) used on Formal's. Y9 Spanish Gold, It's a beautiful brown metallic but you can see a lot of green in it too. Just stunning in the sunlight and the metalflake taking it over the top.

I agree with you on the color - this seller could get even more $$ for it if he had taken the photos on a bright sunny day instead of what looks like a typical cloudy Michigan day. I personally would have liked it even more if it had a triple T8 brown vinyl roof too and regular size whitewalls, and if the stance in the rear were a little higher, and maybe ditch the fender skirts (not sure on the latter, but I generally do not like them because they make the car look tail heavy). That color really pops in the sunlight.

That car is total perfection on Every level, I am going to save every picture I can of that Beauty.

15K overpriced....:poke:

These high prices to me are a double edged sword. On one hand it's great they're getting the respect they deserve but some of us are getting priced out of the market now. Used to be able to find 3-4 thousand dollar cream puffs fairly easily. Now it's double that or more!

What does 20 k get you these days, its still a bargain. This ones going home to someone. 23.5 is my guess on it.

I'm thinking it'll go higher but how much?, I don't know. Why wouldn't it go to 30K?

So it's a Y? When does it become a C ?

I know Chris, I know . I still have a few on the wanted list but I can live without them

No Imp's were C's....even the 74 & 75 Imp is a Y Body.

Matter of fact....76-78 NYB's have Y-Body stamped parts on them. I mentioned this in a couple of different threads. My 78 NYB hood has a "Y" stamped in the front lip. My 78 Newport has a "C" stamped in the front lip of the hood. From a distance both hoods look the same. Parked next to each other you can see the difference in the hoods. The center hump (seam) in the hood rises quite a bit higher. If you put a NYB hood on a Newport the hood would be to high and wouldn't match up with the height of the header. The other way around putting a Newport hood on a NYB and the hood would be sunk down too far on the NYB.
