thanks, Furyman, so in that case, you figure his son's story is pretty solid (and the car too...)?Those are Mike Collin's cars....he passed away last year. I have never seen them but I know he put a ton of NOS on them.
Mike use to rebuild all my power window switches; he was a talented guy.
is he well known enough to buy sight unseen? probably not a good idea i guess....Those are Mike Collin's cars....he passed away last year. I have never seen them but I know he put a ton of NOS on them.

Good Answer. I bought a car in Texas and went the appraisal route and it worked out perfect. When it arrived in Canada it was everything that I expected.
yeah, it was kind of confusing to me (?)They advertise "pre-purchase evaluations" and show they covered the London area... and then expect the seller to handle it???
Wow... I've met people in the appraisal business... They sure don't operate that way.
If the car is in Carleton Place as suspected, then it is nowhere near that company's operating area. They advertise "pre-purchase evaluations" and show they covered the London area... and then expect the seller to handle it???

ok, thanks, Kevin, well if you think you can take a look, let me know expenses and I'll see if I can do it. thanks a lot.I'm about an hour from Carleton Place.
Kevin
Carleton Place.Did you ever get the actual location of the car?
thanks, yeah, I was kind of thinking the same thing. the inspector kept referring to it as "surface rust" but there seems to be plenty of evidence of "deeper" rust, which makes me wonder if the frame rails and other underbody parts are indeed solid and original. thanks for your feedback...I would have to put eyeballs on that one before pulling the trigger. Looks like a lot of rust on the undercarriage...
Great looking car but I agree underneath may have severe rust
