I’m having an intermittent problem with my 66 SF not starting (will crank) occasionally. It seems to work if I jiggle the keys in the ignition switch while cranking. Is the actual switch where you insert key a possibility?

It sounds like the switch since jiggling the keys seems to help.

The best thing to do is check for voltage to the coil. Assuming you have points type ignition, check for voltage at the ballast resistor where the brown and blue wires connect.

HOW WORN is the key?

The electrical part of the mechanism is BEHIND the key cylinder. Two separate items.

Here is a link to a You Tube garage guy - Jamie and Dead Dodge Garage. This video will give you an idea of how Mopar's electrically are set up and a few things to try. He forte is with types of A bodies, but is a hard core Mopar guy, so a good deal of his information can translate to C-bodies as well.
