Bad News

Man, that was close. So, what happened exactly. She feeling better or sore as hell.
Yes, another foot or so to the right during impact and it would have been a different story. And yes, she is sore as hell still. Early morning foggy, she double checked before pulling out and didn't see the guy coming. It was a 55mph zone too.

Gary after watching my wife end up in a wheelchair 10 years ago because someone just wasn't being careful one day made me realize how strong and resilient our ladies can be. Many a time when I would have given up or collapsed in despair my wonderful lady pushed through the pain and carried on. I am quite sure that Carol will surprise you with how strong she can be but on the days when she is not strong I am sure you will be there for her. The body will heal and the broken metal repaired and you will both come out stronger because of it. Cherish your time together and give that wonderful lady a hug from all your friends here. Wow that was close... that she has a broken arm, and not a more devastating injury is very good fortune. God, fate, skill or whatever you want to attribute it to... you have to be thankful when you see occupant space crushed like that. There are so many very bad what ifs, its probably better to not dwell on them. I bet Carol sees those pictures different than anyone else right now. Thanks for the update and I hope she is feeling better.

Yes lots of what ifs can go through your mind when you look at things. Carol looked at the pics and said, wow, not much damage huh? I was like, ummm, yes there is.

Gary: Sorry to be so late with well wishes, good thoughts and prayers. I'm so glad this bad news was not as bad as it could have been. Please tell your wife we are thinking of her (and you too) and that her recovery is quick and complete.

Gary. I just returned home from a weeks road trip and saw this post..... So thankful that Carol is recovering. Looks like it could have been a lot worse. Ellie and I wish her a speedy recovery.

Thanks guys, I relay every positive word of support to Carol, she is pleased by it all for sure.

So sorry to hear this Gary! As with everyone else from my family to yours, thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery!!

Gary,
How is Carol doing?
She is slowly doing better, much stronger now and starting to handle some things on her own. She is still wearing a cast which hopefully comes off late February. Then they will check to see if the shattered bone has knitted, if not they will have to operate again. Fingers crossed it is mending. She is managing half days at work, I am driving her to work each morning. So far so good!
