Bat Mobile seen in St. Catharines, ON

Great looking car! I got a chance to see this at a charity run a couple of weeks ago in Niagara Falls. Certainly a head turner. I agree the paint and body is a little rough, but from 10 feet way it looks amazing! Love all the gadgets. I've always wondered who put those in, George Barris or the studio.

Great looking car! I'm jealous! I got a chance to see this at a charity run a couple of weeks ago in Niagara Falls (thanks for letting me cross the rope for a photo!). Certainly a head turner. I agree the paint and body is a little rough, but from 10 feet way it looks amazing! Love all the gadgets. I've always wondered who put those in, George Barris or the studio. Great site here. I found it last night and have spent the last 6 hours reading.
By the way - I forgot to ask, would you be interested in having the car at a Niagara Health Foundation Event for Halloween at Hernder Estates Winery? Please send me a message if you are. Thanks!

Ya gotta lov those ten footers! Funny Mr fix it never said anything about the ' rough ' paint and he's a car guy restorer like the rest of us. Here it is from less than a foot-

I guess 'cause it such a well known well built ride its been pretty much 'molested ' by now, its tough keeping people off it, pulling on it, jumpin' in it, scratchin' it...lol..its a full time job! Likely ' batman' will contact you with info. Good luck..and next time post pics!
Hey, not trying to starting anything, just commenting on a post on what I saw. Still wish it was mine!

No sweat pardner!
I think halloween at your winery would be a great idea! What do you do there at the Winery? Do you own the place?
You know theres like 5 batmobile replicas in Ontario...at least and have been for several years. One has a fb page- london batmobile..or something like that. That ones a regular at Niagra comic cons. What's your favorite C body?
Thanks for the info. I don't work at the winery, but have an affiliation with NHF. Why do you ask? I just thought if this Batmobile was local, it would add a nice touch to the event. I doubt someone from London would be that interested in attending, it's a little far. As for my favorite C body, I like mid sixties Imperial styles and early 70's Monacos. Hope this satisfies your curiosity pardner.

Never underestimate a Batmobile owner these replicas are often trailered hundreds and thousands of miles in all kinds of weather for events. In the mold the matt blends with resin and becomes one while the fumes and dust go down your lungs, the result is a inorganic object that will likely last a milenium while gathering dust like figurines or other interesting objects that invoke curiosity if in a museum when the gas runs out.

I'm sure they love showing off their cars. I know I certainly would if I had one. I noticed you're in Oakville. Do you have one you would like to bring? Also, I go to Burlington quite often, perhaps we could meet up. I'd love to see your work.

Even more so I see you do custom metal fab but not automotive. My interest is in that direction. Where can we view your work...online, off line or?
And no nothing ' mobile ' at the moment on my end.
I don't do anything you'd be interested in seeing. I'm an industrial steel fabricator, structural steel (beams, girders, fitting, etc) for large scale construction projects. I highly doubt that's anything your interested in. My intention to work my trade into a project of some sort it just in its infancy. Still interested to see your shop though if you're open to it.

Odd how the topic replica is creating its own controversy on other forums with new posters and one on this forum, typically they're new posters who create a profile, head straight to this topic car, say how they love the replica yet call it a good 20 footer...or 10 footer. Everybody's got a camera phone these days but the new posters never do...Lol. and double odd how my new follower wants to meet me..why me? why not the hundreds of other C body enthusiasts? How the new poster wants to come to my ' shop'. Who said I had a shop? how the new poster hand picks text and not the images on this replica. I expect this will be quoted from my # 1 fan and there will be more text..ie dribble but of course NO pics.

Who, slow down there my friend. I'm not sure where you're going with this, or what you're insinuating, but I can assure you there's no hidden agenda or mystery here. I found this thread because when I found this forum, I searched Niagara and then surrounding cities, as I live in Welland, and found this one with the title "St Catharines" in it, the most recent with something close to me. I read the thread and commented, more looking for get in touch with the owner. I only asked to meet you because your profile says you live in Oakville, which is less than an hour from me. I assumed you had a shop due to the photos and details you've posted. I didn't think someone could do this kind of work in their basement, so figured you must have a shop. Thought it would be fun to see one of these cars being built, but don't worry, I don't need to see it this badly. Again, I haven't "followed" you nor would I know how to do this. I by no means am your #1 fan, just someone who found the thread and car the interesting. Again, I'm not sure what you're trying to get at, but I think I'll respectfully bow out of this topic as I don't want to upset anyone here. I'm not sure why I have to go to such lengths explaining things like this, but clearly I've said something that has upset you. Not sure what it could be, but would rather be respectful of this forum then get caught up in something unintentionally. For whatever it could be, I do apologize. There's plenty of other great topics on these forums to keep me busy, without any controversy on this one, so again, I'll not post anything further on this one. I hope you understand.

I kind of regret starting this thread with the comments that have been posted here... It wasn't my intention to cause controversy amongst the membership.

That might have been my fault...lol. Early on I linked this post to a current Batmobile fb page...and 'they' followed me here (there'd be little likelyhood of 'them' .. searching Chrysler C bodies forums in search of Batmobiles..LOL. It was refreshing to see your honest and candid observation of this replica With Real Pictures. Sadly ' they ' in their haste to post judgement negatively only sour any prospects the end user may need from the manufacturer...down the road, if there's a fender bender or panel replacement needed on this very rare one of seven replica that's not available anywhere else. Let 'them' attempt to repair it if so...lol.

There has been a lot of interesting information though.

Don't worry, we like a little drama.
I was following along ok and found it informative. Then I got lost when the drama started. Was the car first pictured based on something DonC built??? I am tired and I am not following clearly.

Looks like the drama queenk has up and left.
Recently released video of my #1 Gen 3 New York based replica.,(inacurately described as a Barris original) I did a LOT of sculpting on that very nosecone to get it bang on as close to the # 1 original as possible . I sold it for 25K as a roller prop. NY Bodyshop put it on a chassis and added fiberglass freaks interior parts..ie no chrome finish...and of course did their own paint, a little heavy on the clear coat in my opinion as the original was never that shiny, however period correct wheel and tires add to the 60's look.

Compare those fiberglass freaks door panels and plastic flat trim to what I built and installed in our topic replica here the St C replica in mirrored stainless steel and I guarantee my Mopar seats are way more comfortable than whats in theirs! 25K for the roller NY prop and 45K for the loaded St C replica (little details like that the haters will never mention) LOL. FF gets over $100K for their base copies and all the allocades. They never did send me a C&D but Mark Racop of FF told me bluntly years back- Find another career. I should have took his advice.Lol.

Like the # 1 Batmobile interior except likely they (GHIA of Italy 1953) used brass then plated it in chrome

If by "drama queen" you were referring to me, I haven't up and left, but decided not to continue posting here after you started to attack me for no reason other than stating an opinion. Nor, was I a hater of you, but actually an admirer of your work and was interested in knowing more, but again you chose to attack me. On an interesting note regarding my comment about the paint, I recently spoke to the owner who currently has the car in a body shop having the paint and body done. One would think that if the paint and body was as amazing as you have claimed here, the owner wouldn't be spending over $10,000 having it done. I know what I saw and stand by it - and the $10,000 plus the owner is spending supports my claim.
