C Bodies at Carlisle!

I booked my room. I need to confirm my flight. I'm coming in on Wednesday in case anyone wants to 'start early'.

I wonder how late i could leave it before making a commitment to go? I would love to take the GT there but I am not sure about time frame to get her back on the road at the moment. Would be cool though, if the Florida guys do a convoy up there then they could do a stop over here.

It's no problem waiting until the last second to go. You don't have to pre-register (although it's much easier) and you should be able to find a room in Harrisburg. The hotels close to Carlisle get filled up but get 30 miles away and you won't have a problem.

my 68 300 is registred

I already have my reservation.....in Mechanicsburg. It's about 20 minutes away....which I prefer. A nice little road trip away from the fairgrounds every day. Also, that gets me away from the bumper to bumper traffic and restaurants that aren't slammed with people. Additionally...it's far enough away that the party people aren't there and it's cool to sit outside with the other Carlisle people and relax in the evening and have great conversation.

My friends go every year and I always put it off, I don't want to take money away from the Polara, I'd hate to miss this one, just wish my car was done.

Mary from Canoga Park is signed up! I hope to meet some of you guys there!

Booked my room....Don't think I'd trust my car to drive over in it's current state but I may trailer it to the hotel and drive it in if I get some things done.

Stayed at the Courtyard in Mechanicsburg last year, that's what I booked for this year also. It is nice, as you said, because you're far enough away to get out of the rat race but it's still a short ride to the fairgrounds. I didn't get much chance to socialize though as I spent all my spare time looking up part numbers in my hotel room. Last year's trip was dedicated to finding parts.

He is from out west, lot further.:D Wow what is wrong that is not at least patchable in the next 6 mos.

Its never long enough, a five day show would be helpful.

My first overnight year we stayed at some hole in the wall near Harrisburg. I hated being that far away. We were at the Clarion/Hotel Carlisle for more than ten years. That motel is about six miles from the grounds. A little action but still too far.
For the last two years we have stayed in the New Holiday Inn Express. It is probably two miles from the grounds, maybe three and it is perfectly situated, Across from Hoss's , Gas station and convenience store with the Turnpike at your doorstep.... Lots of cruising action. In 24 years I only missed one Chrysler show there, I like this spot
